ALDI Cocoon Voyager Quadcopter FPV Drone $79.99

90

Seems like a good price for FPV Drone. If it doesn't measure up, can return it in 60 days.

Mines in a tree, was pretty happy with it up until then. Needs to be a fairly calm day or it's prone to being blown off track,

Using it on a track is your first problem. Save the track for RC cars instead.

    • These sort of drones really need a large indoor space to fly. Great fun then.

More fun than a "real" drone because they take a bit of skill. But much easier to fly than the old RC helicopters.
Get a spare battery from ebay, as the flight time is so low.

      • It's actually pretty good outside, it was just a silly day for me to take it out,

  • Is the resolution enough to record anything decent on this? Am thinking of getting it for fun.

      "Built-in camera, 640 x 480 resolution"

If you go back to the 1990s, the resolution will be great!

      • Haha… Thanks.

There's a couple of reviews on youtube, footage looks terrible.

@anzacpaul: Thanks mate. Glad I asked first. LOL!

camera is fine for some basic filming, anyone expecting more at this price has pretty reasonable expectations. The usual low brow critique expecting veuve for Spumante prices.

  • Got one today, the 480p is a let down. $20 less then a year ago but specs have taken a hit. Kmart got one for less and comes with goggles.

    • Do tell,

      • $70, comes with goggles and i think 720p feed. Also takes an SD card, unlike the gimped cocoon voyager…

  • I am looking to buy more batteries. Would you know the equivalent Syma model number (X5, X5SC, X5SW)?

    • Those should fit

      • Thanks. For anyone, based on the model number of the provided battery, it seems that anything starting with "X5S." would fit.
