    It's worth mentioning the Ultimate Edition of the game (which you'll need to enjoy the Season Pass) is $5.99 for Xbox Live Gold people.

      Not only that, I couldn't find a match a couple of months after release because there weren't enough people to match me up with apparently. Not sure how it's travelling these days.

      Ah, but for $6 it’s worth it just to experience it. The sound and graphics are quite good, even if local servers are empty usually.

      It does have a single player option and local multiplayer, but it's not a story.. Just missions.

      I bought it for PC and it was pretty much dead within a month of release. EA releasing DLC basically split the tiny player base into nothing.
      Dunno about the console versions, heard they were doing a lot better.

    Are you able to sign up for Live, buy the full game for $5.99 and then cancel the Live?
    Do you keep the game or does it disappear once you cancel your subscription?

      I believe so. You've purchased the game. Games with Gold access ends when your sub does, but you would have paid for this.

    Can you play this against bots or does it have to be multiplayer? Is there a split screen option so 2 people can play at once?

      Yes you can play against bots, and yes there is split screen (offline mission mode only).

          Not all maps are available with bots though, only the core maps.

    Can't recommend this game as no-one plays it. Battlefront 2 comes out in November so I can't see anyone sticking around after that either.
