So I'm getting the Apple Watch LTE cellular. I'm assuming I can use this $30 plan with the watch sharing the number. Correct?

my summary came today with $40 with no discount and $15 extra for optus sport?
what kinda crap is this? thank god i save the log, but this is a bloody waste of my time to fix things up.My contract is showing as $55 per month as well but cs confirmed that it will be $30 per month (I kept the log as proof).
same..thats what my CS said as well.. i don't understand why the contract isn't reflecting the package price.
hopefully we are not all taken for a ride with this.Yes they should have shown the discount in the contract to avoid confusion…hope I don't have to deal with cs again to get it fixed!
@crazynic: Yeah its really quite annoying..even when i was signing up for the deal initially the cs left out the free optus sport. I had to double confirm on every minor details of the plan..
@Ragnarok1982: Yup the 2nd CS initially said that Optus Sport wasn't included; got me to wait to check again, then confirmed that it was included..Let's wait for our first bill now lol
I am having the same issue as others about discounts and Optus Sport not being listed in the contract. Whilst i have chat logs saved stating it would be.
Has anyone been able to convince Optus to actually list the discounts and Optus sports as part of an amended contract?
no i have not .. but they did send me an email stating that it's $30 with free optus sport. plus i have two chat logs to confirm it.. hope that helps
I am currently with Voda, looking to get the $30 plan, not sure if it's doable /not, so I gave it a try.
Fired up the live chat and spoke with this agent (Albert), told him I'd like get the $30 Plan by porting my number from Voda, and he just assisting with the process straight away, no questions about eligibility. Everything is done in 15 minutes.
Very happy with the way the chat is going, really painless and straightforward.
Now just waiting the SIM to arrive. Looking forward to watch EPL matches on those ungodly hours …
Just to add my experience, spoke to three different people on Optus chat to recontract two services on the $30 deal, none would go for it. They all offered the deal for the $40 price but if I brought a number over from Telstra too then that plan would be $30 but not the others. So I'm currently porting to Telstra prepaid just to jump back and get the deal. A hassle but $20 less a month is worth the trouble.
Chat assured me the discount isn't just for 12 months but stays thereafter.
Is there a way to make sure one does not go over the allocated 3GB of data in the $18.75 plan?
I was on an old $40 / 10GB Optus plan (with data sharing sim). Moved to prepaid yesterday and signed up to this deal today.
I think it's advisable not to tell the first person your end goal and just say you want to go to prepaid.What happened with your data sharing sim during the process?
I believe it just stops for the duration with prepaid and then when signing back up to postpaid the data sharing kicks in again when both services are on the one account.

@e_wolfe: yeah I just added my wife's phone onto my account. We both have SIM only plans but pretty much any plan can data share as long as they are on the one account!
My existing contract with optus for 3 mobile services ends in 20 days. Called optus and asked if they can give me this offer for the $30 plan and I'm willing to recontract 3 services on $30 plan.
They reluctantly said this offer is only for new and add on services only.Now my 3 existing services with optus will definitely go else where.
While they attract new customers its best to retain existing customers too.Has optus claimed to anyone else that EPL was never part of the bundle?
Just spoke to Optus sales on chat and ported my number from Telstra in 10 minutes. THis $30 per month deal expires today so make sure you call Optus now if you want to switch over.
how did you switch over straight away without Optus sim? or did you happen to receive them in the pack today?

@superbass: placed order last night and wait for optus sim. Once I get the sim i can start the process. Can't wait to get out as I am pay 50 bux for less and Telstra don't want keep me so here I am.

Just got off the phone after 40 mins (after 10 mins of requesting a call back) having argued what the plan I signed up to included.
Eventually they agreed that Optus Sport subscription was included and I'm getting a new bill for $18.75.Some data for those who also need to argue:

Received my first bill after signing up to the $30/month 15GB + EPL Sport Subscription plan….
And I have been charged $40! After calling optus they tell me the first months bill doesn't show the discounts, however I have no discounts pending anyway.
They say they may have put me on the wrong plan, however they say the plan I want is for new customers only (despite the advert stating its for new and re-contracting services (I had only 2 months remaining and was recontracting), as well as the rep at the time on chat signing me up to this deal without issue…)
I basically told them this was illegal and false advertising (which it is), and they have asked me to provide proof of the advertised plan to my local store. WTF!
He also refused to send me a copy of my chat transcript. Any advice?

I also signed up for the discounted $30 + EPL (not that I watch it) via online chat. Hopefully the online rep processed it all correctly. But having doubts as the pdf contract is for the standard $40 plan with no mention of 25% promotional discount or free EPL package.
