How much does it cost for 10 weeks?

    • If I understood correctly you pay $699.5 but will get back equivalent of $160 in QFF points and also $100 back from Amex if that deal was saved. So, there would be a total of approximately $440 paid for 10 weeks. Not working for me given that I pay about $25 per week for fresh ingredients.

Geez that's quite expensive. No thank-you if those calculations are correct.

        • +2

I´d just get it for the 2 weeks. $183.90 for the 2 person 4 meal plan for 2 weeks. Minus $40 coupon, plus $40 Amex cashback and $80 worth of points. Equals $23.90 for 2 weeks.

        • @kvince:

Plus, for a really refreshing idea, why not earn even more Qantas Points by referring a friend? Then, when they sign up to HelloFresh, you’ll earn 1,000 bonus Qantas Points and $50 off your next order – and they’ll get $50 credit towards their first one. Better still, the more friends you refer, the more you’ll be rewarded

Send yourself 8 referrals and you've got your 8000 extra points and only paid $19.95 per week without any other cashbacks. Total cost over 10 weeks = $26.35 per week.

        • @kvince: Ok, so if the 10 week subscription isn't compulsory then: pay $70*2= $140, get $40 from Amex, $40 from HelloFresh, $80 in QFF points. The net cost is: 140-40-40-80=-$20, meaning that I will actually be earning $20 money? I know I'm calculating it wrong.

        • @kvince:

The aim is getting the 16k points cheaply. That's the whole idea of this post.

        • @superready:The Amex cashback deal is for a minimum spend of $50. $20 off takes it down to $49.95 thus the need to subscribe to the 4 meal plan.

  • Reported for no price

  • Can you stack this with $50 referral?

    • Won't work same with cash rewards I think as mine didn't track.

      • Cash rewards site says can't use a code not listed on their site, but their site doesn't list any codes on their site. So technically CR won't pay if a code was used.

        • Acorns gives cashback too invested :)

Got my box and felt it was alittle overpriced used a referral instead of this code. Don't know how people like this service long term.

    • Judging by all the offers they've been putting out lately, I don't think anyone ever pays full price.

      • Yeah only wanting to stack these with my Amex offers as a way to decrease my weekly shopping bill

Subscription services are a big fad at the moment. Plenty of start-ups trying to get on board. In reality it's terrible for the consumer as you lack choice, get shafted with exorbitant prices for what you're getting and can't dynamically adjust to changing circumstances e.g. What if you have a friend visiting tonight? These models work well for digital content e.g. Netflix or where you use a facility e.g. Gym, but IMO I can't see any purpose in having this for physical items.

    • You are so right about subscription services being a fad these things have been around forever just now it's marketed to the young crowd with a web or an app I'm sure a shop at woolies or Coles delivery would get me alot more than what hello fresh delivered this week I'm away for work this week and couldn't cancel so left the box for my flat mates to use..

  • +2

Much cheaper to buy food from Woolies. Even cheaper at Aldi

  • Just not sure what is hard about buying fresh produce in season and cooking it yourself

    Price seems orohibitive

I tried hellofresh for the last couple of weeks. Food is fresh, receipies are easy to follow and make. Food tasts good. Delivery to your door is very convienient. So is having all the ingredients you need.

I tried it because i work long hours and do not have the time to shop. Also, I pick up a lot of junk food when i do go shopping which is a bad habit i wanted to avoid for my long-term health.

However, the full price imho is way too much. Ingredients are $30-40 max (in the 2 people for 5 days box which is $109). I would pay $70-75 given they have to cover delivery and make a profit but $109 is too expensive.Pity because i like everything else.

If you want to try it, cheapest is the referral option + current amex cash back.

  • Anyone else have trouble with the coupon?

  • Question: Anyone has got their points yet?
It is rather confusing as it refers to Qantas Assure and QFF both, so wondering if you must hold an Qantas Assure policy for the points.
