Great price but still not the cheapest if I remember correctly https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/316120

  • what is the model number?

  • +2

Seller not telling us the true model number. Is it SM-G950F, SM-G950FD, or some other model eg. USA model.

Please tell us the exact model number we are buying. Too risky otherwise.

    • Really interested in picking up an S8+ but really don't want to get stuck with a non-International model.

      UPDATE - Seller Claims
      1) This item is import stock, so we cannot guarantee whether it will have AU power plug, that is why we will supply in addition an SAA charger.
      2) The Model is G950FD

    • The S8 model is G950FD(or G9500 if G950FD is not avilable).

      • Have been promised G950FD thru ebay messaging (above is direct cut and paste from seller). If G950O arrives I expect replacement free of charge or compensation for any additional costs incurred to purchase elsewhere.

        • +1

No worry, based on the current sale volume we got enough stock of G950FD. (G9500 replacement will be sent only if buyer accept it.)

        • @danilochan:
Hi could you help me cancel the order #62321937? I have sent an ebay message to request this. Thanks

  • +1

"Let's not bring the dual-SIM version to Australia, they don't need it" said some wank at Samsung.

    • Happy with either SM-G950F or SM-G950FD (dual sim). Same firmware can be used on each. Just don't want some model that is not compatible with Australian XSA or TEL firmware.

Just make sure your happy with the small print (below),delivery times & any warranty issues should they arise. I am personally put off from 3 points:

***** Package may be opened for random checking before dispatch.
****** Unit may contain bonus pre-installed apps from the original region.
******* Unit may contain telecommunication carrier logo at starting screen.

Only $12 more at qd_au. Would much rather deal with them than apus/shopping square

    • I agree. My S7 edge was sent to them for warranty repair. It been over 2.5 months and still no signs of the handset. No phone number to call them. They reply to eBay msg only when they want to. Horrible service.

Though I've personally not dealt with QD but I've heard better stories about them

      • Hi zerocritical
If you can PM me with the details, I might be able to help

        • Done. Hope things start moving after this.

        • @zerocritical:

Hi zeorocritical, did they resolve your issue now?

        • @seanzyc: not yet. Rep said he'll get back to me with more information by Tuesday. Let's see.

Thanks, your comment helped me deciding and I went for qd_au for my S8+ (Gold) for which I paid ~$8 extra. But I would be getting it much earlier - 2 weeks (at least what it suggested there). Also seller seems to be having better score and less horrible stories. Let's see.. fingers crossed.

      • When is your eta delivered time?

  • I bought one from Shopping Square for my partner this June. Phone works perfectly.
However, the seller dispatched the item really slow. We waited for about 10 days until it was shipped. But the shipping is pretty fast and handled by Toll.

  • Looking at getting a S8+. I understand going grey & spending less means 1 year warranty & return to seller for repairs.
In terms of warranty & customer service which one is better? apusexpress2, buymobileau, qd_au, perfect_mission
They all have similar prices. $735 - $760. I wouldn't mind paying bit extra for service.

    • I think you should just make sure that the phone is brand new(sealed) when you receive it, the chances are you won't even need the warranty within your 1 year warranty period. But if you're unlucky, dealing with grey import warranty will not be fun.

  • For the true penny pincher, $5 cheaper at http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/132167360695

    No idea of supplier quality

  • How do you get the deal to work? I tried applying PHONE15 but it says "This code can't be applied to your order."
Edit Nevermind, just found out you need Paypal and Ebay to have same email

  • Will I get a tax invoice so I can claim the TRS?

    • +1

      No. It's grey import

  • I'd suggest to stay away from these guys. Their after sales support is non existent.

  • hello everyone,
Have just come from a S8 and looking at this s8+
I know its a grey import,

however im just looking for a phone that works,
    - doesnt have different language default settings or apps
    - I dont go regional but I just need the phone to work normally, (Im on vodafone)

would a grey import be fine, or from this seller, $750 for a s8+ seems great value
