Previously had a Jet 60 and needed a new stick vac (other is @ a different location, working fine)
Saw the Jet 65 for $262.5 at Big W, and with TGG price beat got it for 250.
Gave it a quick run, it sucks ;)

probably more akin to a v8/10, but im not a real dyson buff.
eg
v10 vs jet65:
The Dyson V10 and Samsung Jet 65 are both capable cordless stick vacuums, but the Dyson V10 generally offers better overall performance on bare floors and low-pile carpets, while the Samsung Jet 65 is noted for its faster charging, larger dustbin, and better performance on high-pile carpets.
Dyson V10 Advantages:
Better performance on bare floors and low-pile carpets: RTINGS.com found it superior in these areas.
More powerful suction: The V10 has more outright power and more efficient suction than some older models like the V8, making it suitable for deep cleans.
Wider array of attachments: RTINGS.com noted it comes with a more extensive set of attachments.
Samsung Jet 65 Advantages:
Larger dustbin: The Samsung Jet 65 has a slightly larger dustbin capacity compared to the Dyson V10.
Faster charging: It charges significantly faster.
Lighter weight: The Samsung Jet 65 is generally lighter, making it easier to maneuver.
Better performance on high-pile carpets: Some sources indicate the Samsung Jet 65 performs better on high-pile carpets than the Dyson V10.
Fewer parts to clean: RTINGS.com mentions it has fewer parts that require periodic cleaning.
Faster charging: It charges significantly faster.
Probably not a great thing for the battery health long term.
Which one of the two has a longer lasting battery power use? And do both have a Max suction setting (I know the V8 does).
FYI i got this about 2 weeks ago with the Samsung trade in deal ($100) and then $50 EOFY voucher and got it for $229.00 delivered.
Its better than the V7 that it replaced in terms of suction but is no where as good with the fluffy hardfloor Dyson head that was with the V7. The head is too low to the ground and ends up flicking bigger stuff or just pushing it.
I have this model and wouldn't recommend buying it—no proper way to clean the pipes without watering the motor which will destroy it.
I had to buy another one, and I got a Dyson V8 cordless vacuum since the device itself can be cleaned very effectively.
I dunno what you do with your stick vacs, but I've never had those issues.
You probably don’t use it as frequently or need to clean it as often. I’ve got two dogs and two little kids (2 and 5 years old), so our vacuum gets used multiple times a day—including on carpeted areas. Within a few months, any stick vacuum needs a good clean. I usually pressure wash the pipes, dust container, and clean the filters.
With that kind of heavy use, this model hasn’t worked well for me—it’s really hard to clean properly since the parts aren’t detachable from the motor.
we ran a robovac with a 4 & 7 year old and used this as more a spot cleaner, numerous times a day. No inside dog, however.
I only found the head clog up a little, but you could basically peel the layer off. Never had an issue with the piping.
I do think the jet60 head i had was a better version than the jet65 though.
This would be the 3rd purchase since 3 years ago.
It is not a good product. The head part always gets broken. Typically the area where the head roller and suction pipe is connected.
I don’t know if it is a product’s defect or the way of my wife using it, but same spot have been broken twice.
Head part itself is about $180 second hand and it is very hard to find.
The only reason I am buying this again is it is cheap, and I have a bag of dust bags and cleaning station.
Also the batteries do not last too long.
Used the work one this morning and the battery lasted two minutes. Dead, whir whir whir. Dead.
However the suck hard and are too noisy.
OP, is the battery compatible with the Jet 60?
looks pretty similar, I don't have access to the jet 60 anymore to confirm, however.
Are batteries expensive? Easy to find adapters to use other batteries?
Been using jet 60 for over 3 years now and still going strong. I would buy it again without a second thought
Same here. Had the jet 60 for about 3 years. Great vacuum. Never had any issues.
Just took up on this deal and bought the jet 65 for my mom.
Needed a cheap vacuum and got it delivered through uber in ~30 minutes. Thank you for the post!
you're welcome - enjoy :)
how does the performance compare with a Dyson … say v12 ?
