    $175 in Aliexpress

      link please

    • +1

      He probably meant $175 USD

      • And if he did then there was no point mentioning it because it'd be more expensive!

  • +4

this is the helio/4gb/64gb version, some people will prefer the sd625

I've had three of these Redmi note4's and had to throw 2 of them in the bin due to cracked screen after a drop. at this price they are basically disposable though.

I got my lenovo p2, close price, really love this 5000mAh battery phone.

      • I'm still using a old Samsung Note 3, with a 10,000mAh zero lemon battery.

If this phone ever dies I'll probably buy another phone based on what zero lemon makes batteries for.

        • +1

Do ZeroLemon ship batteries to Australia?

        • +1

          @ms:
I got mine from Amazon a long time ago for about $60 shipped, but I'm sure they ship to Australia from the Asia site as well.

          http://www.zerolemon.asia

        • Holla. I have my zerolemon battery 9600 mAh battery foe my note 2 and a 8000 mAh battery for my s5.

I want to get these china droids but the built in battery turns me off big time.

Also with my battery packed mobile I can use an otg and charge up my wifes phone and not worry about battery life.

        • I had the same Samsung note3 which charging port replaced after 5 months after I bought it.
I'm having xiaomi note4 right now. very happy with this phone. system is well designed, much better than the Samsung system.

Interesting, I've dropped my redmi note 4 more than a dozen times, sometimes even speeding up it's fall while trying to catch it mid air and not a single crack on the screen. I must be lucky!

      • I had terrible luck with it. 2x cracked screens and one stolen in Bali. I'm using a moto g5+ now.

        • Ive seen where $1000 phones have cracked screens as well.
Mostly caused by the size of the screen and not being in a protective case.

      • What case do you use?

My missus drops her phone repeatedly.

Her Razr M was a rock, the amount of falls that had and never a scratch, then she got a Z3C, cracked the screen after a week.

I've replaced the screen a few times since, but got a 4X for her now.

Hasnt started using it, but expecting it won't be long before she drops it given its size.

        • Well personally I've never had a case on it haha hence why I'm starting to feel pretty lucky!

        • Z3C are useless for screens. I had never broken a screen before and it only took me a week too.

  • is there a 5 inch version of this phone?

    • +2

      That's what she said.

    • edit as other user says Xiaomi 4x is what you want.

    • +3

Xiaomi redmi 4x is what you're after

      • Unfortunately a slower and lower end phone though.
        Cheaper too ;)

  • Is this actually worth getting over the snapdragon?

    • +2

Snapdragon 625 better for power consumption. Helio X20 better for performance.
      Plenty of reviews around. Google.

    • +1

Probably not worth it, you'll get better battery life with the 625, and of course you get ROM support if you dislike MIUI. Not a noticeable drop in performance either

    • +3

That is a 3G/32GB version. This is a 4g/64GB version

  • you guys see the extremely limited 4g support?

    • +1

      limited 4 g support …… but it's so cheap ………

but yeah i've stopped buying these china droids except for my 10 year old as there are more phones with band 28 now.

      • agreed, getting full support for $300 is good enough

  • FYI the 625 version with less RAM/storage is available at shopmonk for $145/$189 delivered

    • These are Helio too.

  • Ahhhh was just about to place order then noticed its the Helio :(

Any deals on the Redmi Note 4X with a Snapdragon 625 and 4GB RAM? I'll be all over that!

  • The price comes in at $271.96 for me before cashrewards. Strangely the price is $224.55 before I log onto GearBest. Won't accept the code. What am I doing wrong? I'm not sure I trust them after seeing the price jump by so much.

    • Op's link shows up for me as $199 AUD for the 10 core model before I input any codes. maybe try looking at the price in incognito/privacy mode to confirm its not the fault of cookies?
