Hey guys, just came across these pretty decent deal if you look for a 12.2MP camera that does the job on daily basis. For just under $100 (with postage) it isn't too bad.
All you gotta do is subscribe and become a member. I have bought stuff from OzStock in the past they usually post within the week or early the following week.

I got a 1.3Mb samsung camera a year or two ago. The picture quality was horrible. You might want to look up reviews prior.
uh 1.3MP? that's shocking PQ right there…..
Possibly. Buy my 5Mb Canon S2 takes better pics than my 12Mb Fujifilm FD500. So resolution is no indication of pic quality. It wasnt the resolution that was the problem. Was just v bad optics.

Very true! The quality of the optics and image sensor are much more important than res alone! ;)
comparing your '1.3mb' camera that you purchase a year or two ago with this camera, is like comparing apples to oranges. Pretty sure in the last year or two, camera technology have improved quite abit and becomes more cheaper.
Obviously, a samsung camera under $100 won't give the best of the best quality pictures but it would still be pretty reasonable considering it does have 12.2mp etc, and would suit someone on a budget.

With the exception of HD video recording, camera technology hasn't really improved in the last year or so. The next 6-12months will see the introduction of 3D cameras, but other than that, unless you start paying more, camera lenses, sensors etc… have pretty much peaked.
