5x 25 LED Solar Powered Motion Sensor Outdoor Security Light US $33.39 (~AU $42.86) Delivered @ Tmart

1151
TV2

I bought two of these from the reject shop but it was only 12 led. They turn on at dusk as a path light, when the motion sensor is triggered it operates at full brightness as a security light.

This works out to $8.57 each.

Price for single item $11.15

  • I have this kind of light in my eBay watch list, are they the same thing?

    I don't really need five.

    • That just seems to have 5 fewer LEDs.

This isn't an amazing price. Have a look at eBay:
    https://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_odkw=solar+sensor+motion…

This one you can get for $8.59 each and you don't have to buy 5 and you can use an eBay discount code and cashrewards.

    Am I missing something though?

    • Nope, not missing anything. These are all just generic devices so I'd say these are all the same. Nice find and nice work posting the links here :)

    • Yeah seem there are a lot all from China.

    • Thanks man gonna order a couple here instead !

    • I don't think there are any discount codes applicable unless you spend more than $30. Still cheap though! I'm gonna buy one. Thanks!!

Obviously a great product and good on OP for putting this one people's radar but as per this comment cheaper / better options to buy fewer on ebay.

      • +1

Good job OP for posting. And Thanks MJ1 and dynamike (wouldn't have searched for this comment if you hadn't negged)!

Ozbargain should have a feature to 'beat' a deal.. which'll bring the bargain beating bargain to the top of the post and let ozbargainers vote on the better deal..

  • Had a set up for 8 months now and still going strong. I wondered if it was a cheap crappy battery that would fade over time but they seem solid.
The low light is ambient enough to sort of see where you are going and the stronger light is strong enough but it is not a floodlight. IMHO you need them spaced only a few meters apart on a pathway. 2-3 meters is probably about right. I have noticed a few ppl putting lights on the front of their houses as "always on" lights (thief deterrent I think). I have put up one in the front and may put in a couple more.

  • How do you mount these things? Do they get unseated in strong wind for example?

    • Screw, nail, hook etc. There's a hole at the top.

  • As the comments suggest 25 LED is too bright, is 5 x 12 LED worth considering for lighting up the front entrance/garden?

    • +1

It's bright but I wouldn't say it's 'too bright' as that has negative connotations for a device such as this. No such thing as 'too bright' for a security light ;) Don't forget, it only goes to full brightness once it detects motion. If you want the constant dim light to light up an entrance area before it detects movement then you may even need to consider running two!

      • Thank you. Will order one set then.

I didn't get any such e-mail. What other e-mails have you received from Tmart?

For reference, I've received a "Welcome to Tmart.com" e-mail and a "Congrats, we have received your payment for…" e-mail.

If you haven't received that second e-mail, I would guess there has been a problem with your transaction.

      • Just got a reply, it's because their system detects my ip address as overseas IP address. I was on holiday in Malaysia when i placed my order.

  • FML!! I bought 13 of these http://www.tmart.com/30-LED-Solar-Powered-Panel-Motion-Senso… the other day.

  • I bought Five of these from T-mart a while back. One was dead out of the box. Another has started flickering and flashing randomly at night recently.

When they work they're pretty handy and bright enough for walking etc. I tied them through the mount holes to various structures around the yard.

    • Flickering that means battery needs recharging for 36 hours

  • Order is still in "processing" anybody else?

    • Yes, mine is still processing as well. They are just so slow!

The 30 LED are the same price on ebay. Anyone tried those? Any reason not to go 30 instead of 25?

  • Just received mine today. Giving them a quick charge now so I can play with them before mounting.

  • Arrived today. Excited to see results!

    • these things are pretty darn bright!

now just gotta figure out how to mount them

  • +1

Mine arrived and put them up today. Coming back home I noticed the dim feature working beautiful. Walking right past them and the light up well fast and brighter than expected. Set 2 walking up the porch on either side and walked directly infront and they light up simultaneously. Ordered 2 more sets to cover the whole house frontage now. Hope they last long

Me too. So bright ordered another 5

These are great, nice and bright, I have 1 where the LED panel came off, need to glue it back on.
Wife's not a fan of blue-ish white led light though. Was wondering if applying a golden headlight film would warm up the light, anyone have experience?

  • Anyone having issues with theirs? I cant seem to get the motion sensor working. The only mode it seems to work is when i cover the solar panel and it lights up.

  • How do I change the modes on this thing?
