    How does this HP mini netbook compare with the Acer eMachine netbook which were on sale at $200 at Harvey Norman? I know it is better brand name. But what about the specs etc? I noticed it is a 3 cell battery too.

    I hope this model is better than the old HP 2133.
    I had 2 of those HP mininotes and the mainboards died in BOTH of them
    just 1 month after the warranty expired.

    Same happened with a friend who owned a HP 2133 too.

    Just ensure you get an extended warranty with HP gear!

    From what i can tell, when a price is in Red it is 'special' but all the rest of the prices(Including most of the specials listed here) are written in Black - Does that mean Everything is free shipping and classed as a 'special offer'??

    Good buy. This is an excellent drive at a great price - just bought three.
    The free shipping makes it better than the WD deal and there's no limit on the number of drives.

      I negged it, when it kept giving me paid options for shipping.
      After i wrote here about it, i tried again 30mins later and it worked for me as free shipping.

    I was sort of interested… but when i see others have had 2 DOA Drives turn up etc , it does turn me off the "barracudas", i used these before and lost my data on 2 occasions so overall not too pleased.

      Hmm, yeah.. upto 2Gb of data is ALOT to loose.. Especially since i was wanting to use one as a backup drive..
      Maybe i need a backup for my backup's backup!

    Haven't told the wife about all the lost photos yet…Is it just unlucky or what …when you copy all your work files accross to the new seagate,Then copy the old videos onto the other new seagate, then as your backing up the new drive it just dies on you. No spinup.. nothing…. The one time you dont backup and Bang.. Gone.. sucks. So Seagate i'm over it, Samsung for me too, no probs for years.

      Get herins boot CD and you can recover the file from there original drives/media where they were deleted from..
