First post so please be kind! Just surfing the local newspaper down here in Hobart and Tiger are starting a new route HBA-OOL from December 7, so there's an opening special from midday today but limited to 100 tickets. See below for details:

DIRECT flights between Hobart and the Gold Coast will be available from early December.

Tigerair Australia this morning announced the flights would commence on December 7 with an opening special of $10 flights available from midday today. There are just 100 tickets available at the special price.

Tigerair will operate four weekly return flights between Hobart and the Gold Coast on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.

    Could've just booked 7th and 8th return trip but decided to spend a bit more to travel on 8th and come back on 14th. THanks a lot.

    Didn't book!. Looked like flights on 7th and 8th Dec only. Could only book either way for $10 and the other way was $135+….and didn't come up as $10 one-way fare!

    Was going to book, but the dates were crazy 7th/8th only, arrive 2:30pm, leave 8:30am, barely enough time to get to the airport have dinner, get a good night sleep, get up and leave again.

    Looked at coming back the following week instead.. Family of 3 came to around $500.. So spending $500 in airfares to get a $10 ticket for somewhere I wasn't planning on going to anyway. Then accommodation, food, transport, activities. Looking at spending around $2k for a short holiday to get those $10 tickets. hah

    Can't see any more $10 flights - could only find one OOL-HBA on 8 Dec, but disappeared when I was combing through looking for return flight

      Just buy the $10 flight and think about return option later…
      I regretted getting the return flight now.
