  • Absolute legend. Thankyou!

Our dogs will tear them to shreds!
I hope this is the return of COD4/MW2 era multiplayer - at least there's none of this flying and wall-running crap.

    • +3

From what I've played in closed beta. It's not.

      • Soooo, it's even better? ;-)

        • +10

Can't wait to twink out my pink and lime green MG-44 with yellow neon lights and flame stickers in 1944 France, with a red-dot-sight and pulse railgun.

        • +2

@Skramit: You forgot the dangling skull accessory

        • +2

@thebargainhunter: Woops. I'll remember to add that to my blue and orange B.A.R. Machine Gun.

      • Its not a return to COD4 type gameplay or a return to BlOps 3 future crap?

        • +1

From what I heard of the console beta, the map design is trash. Unlike earlier CoD's with the '3 lane' map concept and chock points etc it's just a cluster (profanity) so you're always 2 steps away from an enemy, and an enemy always 2 steps away from you.
People have complained about time-to-kill also being far quicker, but if anything that is a return to CoD4, as CoD4 with stopping power was quick death.

  • +5

YAY! OMG! After 2years away from CoD this game is bringing me back in.

  • Early opinions? Loved World at War. Keen for more WW2 action!

  • +14

I hope they make a good single player campaign.

Otherwise it will just be pre-teens telling me how they banged my mom, only now in WW2 guise.

    • +9

Not just pre-teens - my son is now old enough to play these games and there’s an additional squirm factor when I say it to him ;)

The only way to enjoy call of duty is not to take it too seriously, when they said they are going back to the roots, i was kinda excited. Then they show gameplay where the thompson is attached with reflex sight….

    congratulations cod, you played youself

  • +2

Played the console beta and it was Avg at best

    • +3

I think im done with cods, have had a big break(ghosts may be last one) and used to enjoy but theyve really focused on 3 lane chokepoints and smaller maps, good to see WW2 returning. Still as addictive as ever, but playing the beta didnt feel fun or new and I eventually put up some good numbers. If you like more of the same go for it, Imma hold out for space opera battlefield.

  • Game itself is eh. Honestly feels exactly how you'd expect but the new gamemode "War" is pretty fun

This will probably suck but meh, it's free.

  • +3

If you have a Nvidia graphics card don't forget to update your drivers to 385.69 as it is optimized for the COD WW2 beta.

  • How big is the download?

    • +2

      14GB :)

      • +11

Thanks - that'll take me a couple of days to get.

        I love my ADSL1.

        • -1

Thought I was bad at 5gb download an hour

        • +9

I reverted back to my free trials of AOL as ive found its faster than the NBN

        • +2

          @GossipGoat:
Revert back…. so you didn’t revert?

  • Thank You!

10.0 MB/s download, got to love the steam servers.

    • Awesome speed! who is your ISP and what service/package do you have? I only get 1.7mb(TPG adsl+), which is the maximum speed I ever get from steam and Blizzard.

      • i also have the same download speed, its from tpg, we paid around $60 a month with a vdsl line

      • +1

I'm on Opticomm actually (alternative to NBN). It's a FTTH 100/40 $99pm 1tb plan with iiNet. During peak hours I managed to download this game in 25 mins.

    • yep! I just got switched over to FTTN NBN and mine is topping out at 11.8 MB/s

    • Only 10.0 ? Try 12.0!
      Aussie broadband ftw http://prntscr.com/gq7i5c

    • I have never managed to get over 12mbps on Steam and thats on fttb.

      • I usually get 13.5MB/s on Telstra cable …

        • I'm flabbergasted. Telstra has upped thier game.

  • zombies?

  • +2

PUBG will sue these guys for having Guns and shooting mechanic!

  • +1

Damn it, steam 100% crashes EVERY DINGLE TIME. OMG

    • +5

      Dingle

      • SINGLE. Sorry, i was so excited and now my hopes have been dashed since STEAM wont start :(

Might have to do a format…

      • Must be the dongle >.<

  • Anyone know the aest release, Or will it be midnight release for all region?

  • -1

Telstra cable getting 85 mbps on wireless, forget the NBN

Working for me as of 10am this morning (Sydney AEST)

  • +1

    Yeah just played a match

  • I am already playing it, so it doesn't start at 3am tomorrow.

  • +2

Wow so disappointing. It's cod black ops with a ww2 skin. Shithouse :( was hoping for something more towards cod vanilla style multiplayer but this garbage is dreadful.

  • +1

Would rather get the bf1 premium pass than buy this CoD tbh.

  • +1

came with an open mind. if the multiplayer is anything like the beta then it's pretty dull, generic and basic for me. it does have the call of duty vibe to it that's tried and tested so it will excite heaps of people just sadly not for me. the maps in the beta are tiny but obviously it's only showcasing a small selection of maps so I would assume it will have diversity in the full release. the PC controls feel mostly clunky but it can be somewhat fixed with the settings menu. the graphics are very meh, but that may be improved in the final version? if not I would choose gameplay over graphics anyway. finally activision has a poor history with the PC gaming community(although we are really bitchy and impossible) but don't expect any groundbreaking support if you buy this game.

  • Unlike everyone else here, I'm actually enjoying the game. Unlike BF1 I don't have to run for 2 minutes only to get sniped by someone who spawned behind me. COD > BF any day of the week.

  • Not sure why but game sledge hammers your cpu. i've got I5-6500 running at 100%????? Sorry for the pun :)

  • Fairly boring and every gun shoots like a mad man, SMG out of a clip in 0.5s I swear lol.
Looks alright but a solid pass from me.

  • Uninstalled it after my first death. Didn't even get to the killcam. Just ALT+F4'd and uninstalled. Just another shitty CoD. Bring back Modern Warfare!!!

    • That's what I did with CoD:IW!

  • I havent really played the previous CODS except form the story but gave this a shot. Aim assist on pc? Uninstalled shortly after my first playthrough

  • +1

Bad game. Two matches and I couldn't handle it anymore.
