    I really don't need it but for some reason its so technologically compelling that I feel like getting it…

      I have it and I love it. Just need to forget that I paid so much for a tea maker

  • Can the kettle order pizza using one of the fifteen pre-programmed settings?

  • Overpriced kettle with added tea bag basket attachment…

      Wow you managed to sum up the specs beautifully. For tea lovers, this kettle is fantastic.

        Nonsense.

        • Thank you

          @thecrevis:

          I'm a tea drinker and this kettle doesn't appeal whatsoever. Therefore, by definition, your 'logic' isn't true

          Sorry if there was any confusion, let me clear it up: you sound like a dick troll so I don't care about you at all.

          @tightwad: Also, this website relies on ppl going out of there way to post shit for the benefit of others. Just because you don't like a particular product, does not mean others won't like it either (in fact in this case, others have). If u continue to be a dick to ppl from behind ur keyboard and asserting that your opinion is fact, then u are going to dissuade ppl from posting. TLDR: stop being a loser and be appreciative of others on here cheers

          @thecrevis:

          Great argumentation skills!

  • This would be stained so badly in a few uses. I don't want to wash my kettle everyday.

    What's it do?

      First, do enjoy drinking different types of tea?

      • +1

        Yes I do like a cuppa :)

          It's more for people who regularly drink different kinds of loose leaf tea which is required to be brewed at different temperatures and for different periods of time. It also keeps your tea warm and you can set it at night so that you wake up to a fresh brew. It means you have consistently brewed tea every time which people like me care about - similar to coffee drinkers who are very particular about their coffee.

          Ah, thanks thecrevis for the detailed reply :)

  • Amazon reviews (4.5 stars from 948 reviews) for those curious: https://www.amazon.com/Breville-BTM800XL-One-Touch-Tea-Maker…

    • https://www.productreview.com.au/p/breville-btm800-tea-maker… (3.5 stars from 34 reviews) looks like a good kettle but some people have issues with the base.

      • Amazon reviews tend to be overly positive (people trying to feel good about their purchase) while Product Review tends to be overly negative (people who are having technical problems). Splitting the middle gives a 4.0/5 rating. :)

  • At that price for a kettle, it better be family heirloom. Lol

  • Any kettle recommendations without the tea requirement? Ours just went boom, must be able to set to ~40 degrees for baby formula… Breville smart kettle looks ok, but is $117 delivered which I'll pay 8f worth it but if I can find something a little cheaper than would be awesome too..

  • I've seen better tea bagging on COD
