Soft Serve and Coffee for $0.50. Sorted, thanks OP

    • +3

Some like sweet vs sour… Some like hot vs cold. :)

      • +4

its not 50c now its 60

        • 75c at Sydney Darling Harbour

  • +2

I don't have this under My Rewards. Could be targeted.

    • +3

Its actually not showing under mine yet either, like most of these offers, seems to take McDs a few hours to push them out to the app.

      • Thanks, I just checked my emails and I got the offer. Like you said, probably slow to show up.

I have several email addresses. I might sign up for a few more accounts.

  • +1

You forgot to ask us to be gentle with you!

    • +3

      Maybe O.P. likes it rough?

    • How about no hate? Seems like there's plenty of hate on here haha

      • -5

None against the Op, so what I voted Neg, everyone has a right to do so.

        • +2

Don't exactly see you posting anything to the community.. What are your reasons for negging this free coffee?

        • -4

          @pennypincher98:

Oh do you need to Post to this Community to be able to Neg?

Sure the Mod's would like to talk to you about your stance on that.

          Little do you know.

        • +1

@Tom2222: While we are on the subject of Mod's, maybe the Mod's should notice your deliberate avoiding of reasoning why you negged?
For someone registered since January, you haven't exactly been a benefit to Ozbargain.

        • -5

          @pennypincher98:

Yawn, reason was given, go away before being reported as a Troll.

          Learn to read a Thread.

        • @Tom2222: Haha was your reasoning the fact that there are all these magically free coffees every few hundred metres where you live? Or the fact that the app doesn't work for you because you either have an outdated phone or haven't cleared the cache. I'm confused.

        • -2

          @pennypincher98:

Would Love you see me have said any of those.

        • @Tom2222: That made so little sense I can't even respond to that. I have seen you say them if that's what your asking, but it was so poorly worded I can't be sure.

        • @pennypincher98:

Never said anything remote to that, I don't tell people to upgrade/clear cache etc, so I think you are confusing me with the wrong person. You can check my post archives if you wish.

Look, lets end this on a good note, the App is Crap it crashes, you maybe can claim your Free Coffee and such is life.

I really think you have me confused with someone else.

        • @Tom2222: Lol I don't think you realise they are the ways in which you can get the app to work, not the things you said.

But I agree let's end this on a good note. App when it works gives you free coffee with purchase. That's great because it's in the promotional period when I am going to get Maccas anyway.

Don't have you confused with anyone else. Good talk though!

        • @pennypincher98:

If you are talking about upgrade/clear cache etc you have the wrong person, if you thinking that my 2nd personality, you are are way off. Mod's can resolve that in hours away. So I ask you refrain in accusing me unless you know the facts.

I do take this seriously and will work with any Mod to dismiss this.

Getting the App to Work should not be the issue, KFC rolled out with NCR and it's works, some fails, but not like McD's, half the time I can't pull up the full menu on MyOrder and it's been like this for months now.

McD might be trying, but I get updates almost once a week with no change, fails to load full menu. IOS/Andriod.

What do say about the App in that state on multiple devices.

        • +1

@Tom2222: *** sigh *** Read what I said above again. I said these are the ways in which I can get the apps to work not the things you said

I've had this happen, I cleared the app cache and signed out (automatically) then signed back in and it was alright! Some others have uninstalled and that has worked for them.

Yes I know the app is subpar at best, but it works sometimes and that is enough for me :) Only takes a second to check.

    • I now drink coffee with Splenda and skim milk. McDonaldโ€™s coffee with that is actually really good.

    • +1

Not sure if it's just Melbourne that has all these free coffee stalls, but I haven't exactly seen free coffees every few hundred metres like Maccas are.

  • +4

    Free coffee :D
    … via MyMaccas D:

  • +5

App is useless crashes all the time

    • The fury when KFC went down on Tuesday arvo during the 9 $9.95 Tuesday, 99% it works, but the rage.

If the KFC lovers used the McD App there would be mutiny, pitch forks and flames at McD's ;)

    • -3

      time to upgrade your phone

      • It is an iPhone 6+ should be okay really…..

  • -7

This seems be a common issue in these App Promo's across all brands.

Check it for yourself if you can sub it via the App, don't just ask on OzB.

If if works, post it, if it doesn't, so long.

Each store operates different, McD's the most, you might be able to ask in store for a change, but that depends on the store.

Open the App and try it rather than asking.

    • +2

Are you having a bad day? So angry

What's your reason for neg voting?

      • -3

Because it's bad coffee, the App fails 90% of the time and there are so many other Free Coffee's on offer, almost daily.

It's not a deal if you can't use the App to claim it.

Plus, the people asking, can I swap this for that, OPEN the APP and TRY it.

        Question resolved.

        • No such thing as bad coffee if it's free (except for 7-11 iced coffee lol)
I've had it, it's not bad hell its even borderline enjoyable by the end. If someone gave me this for free, I wouldn't knock it back.

Also, the App is a major issue, but when it works that 1 out of 5 times, then you can claim it :)

        • +4

'there are so many other Free Coffee's on offer, almost daily"

checks Tom2222's post history for free coffees

        • "and there are so many other Free Coffee's on offer, almost daily"?

Really? Do enlighten us, from where are these almost daily free coffees?

        • @Puff Braddy:

Nothing even worth replying, but you do check this site daily don't you?

        • @Tom2222:

I sure do, and a quick scroll of the bargains from September alone yield an amount of free coffee bargains that I can count on one hand. Hardly a "daily" occurrence.

          Better luck next time.

        • @eciuj:

          Troll, you have 0 Posts

        • +3

@Tom2222: Troll, so do you. Maybe you can start sharing with us your free coffee locations and not be such a parasite who leeches everyone else's deals.

        • @Tom2222:
Hey Tom2222, can you please stop double spacing your posts. It's very annoying to read.
          Thanks.

        • @Tom2222:
Yes, I have zero posts but I don't discourage others who try to help others.

You must be fun at parties, eh?

    • R U OK?

    • Up voted because you've made me laugh by getting so angry about cheapskates selling personal information for bad coffee.

      • You have serious trust issues if you don't want to give over your credit card at or for McDonalds. I can almost guarantee you have put "personal information" in an app, website or some other location before.

        • I never said that I wouldn't trade personal information for free shit. I use cashrewards, google, etc. Only reason I'm not participating in this is I cbf and it's not worth the effort.

The "cheapskates selling personal information for bad coffee" part isn't judgemental or anything, it's just an objective description of what this deal is all about.

        • @idonotknowwhy: Haha yeah I guess so and upon reading that again I realised you meant that he made you laugh by getting angry about bad coffee, I thought you meant upvoted because you made me laugh about cheapskates selling their personal info for coffee lol

          Never mind :)

  • +8

Holy hell. What on earth has happened in here? Way to make a guy feel welcome. LOL. Yes yes its not $1000 off a 100" TV, but still, something for nothing for those that want it, if you dont, why are you here?

    • +1

I'm not sure $1000 would be good enough for Tom2222. You can get $1000 off a 65" TV "on offer, almost daily."

      • +1

Free TVs can be found every few hundred meters… Well, 8 years old and on the side of the steet… ;)

    • You'll learn ….. and you ain't even come up against jv or PJC yet. :)

  • Are cookies still 50 cents?

    • Cookies $1 now … I miss the cardboard box though ๐Ÿ˜’ . Theyre in plastic bag now

  • +4

If your McDonald's store is like mine and doesn't support ordering via MyMaccas app but does have the touchscreen kiosks, you can actually input a code from the app into the kiosk and still get the offer.

    • +1

Yes there should be a SCAN offer

      • Yeah I saw the scan option but nothing to scan with, as it was only 4 digits I just entered it manually. Probably something obvious but I couldn't work it out.

    • Is it a generic or unique code? I'm assuming the latter so as to prevent people from using it repeatedly.

      • It's unique.

      • +1

Its unique, but if you bring it up to the counter 90% of the staff dont know how to input it correctly so they just promo free it, so it never get 'used'. So you can do it repeatedly, until they actually enter the code.

        • that's what happened with my local too - staff didn't know what to do with the code at drive through nor at counter, ended up using the kiosks to claim and worked.

  • Is it possible to swap the hot coffee for something of lesser value for example a hash brown?

    • If you are regular at your local store, you get anything you want, just don't push it. Like do it out of peak hours etc.

    • That includes going for the 9 for $9.95 Tuesday at 11:30, free chips & drink, done.

      • What is 9 for $9.95? Why free chips? Is this another deal? Do I need to ask them about it?

    • +1

Why troll and neg this guy for asking a question ?? Not cool . Trolls need to have a free cuppa tea and chill tf out

  • +1

Shock shock get down to my local McDonald's just to have the app not work.

    No coffee for me.

    • Found out the hard way if you can just get the codes to come up you are sweet

  • Just realised this is a large coffee!! 2 monopoly pieces for free technically :)
Can we make another account on another device (say an iPad) and then use the code on that for the self serve machines or is that a no go? Haha I know I shouldn't abuse this.

  • -5

    Free coffee… At maccas
It's like I have a super hot girlfriend.

    She has aids

    • Username checks out.

  • Can it be redeemed multiple times? Or just one coffee in a week?

  • would be better if they offered a choice of coffee or soft drink, since coffee doesn't go very well with cheeseburgers ;)

  • +4

You have many choices . Just not soft drink . Can choose coffees, mocca, tea, capp, hit choc etc .
Also, regarding the 'with purchase' part of this deal, the purchase can be couple of marmarshmallows added to your hot choc, or adding caramel syrup to make it a caramel latte or caramel mocca (50 cents for syrup) . It should work for making a it a double shot (60 cents i think) , just a heads up for anyone who jusy wants a hot drink without food purchase etc. Anything that adds cost to the drink (by clicking customise) is elegible as 'purchase'.
I just had 1 large hot choc (with hamburger $1) . Then 1 large mocca (with $1 hamburger) . Then 1 large caramel mocca (50 cents for the added caramel) .
Ps. Can make multiple accounts very easily, then deal will come up about 1 minute after making nrw account .
Just need a deal on sleeping tablets or something now, after all this caffiene ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

    • +2

Thanks for the detailed explanation, hopefully you can sleep now after so much caffeine.

  • Yw. I actually went to sleep leaving the 3rd coffee in fridge overnight, Curious as to how it would go reheated.
Reheated large caramel mocca from mccafe, tastes lovely still. I think keeping it refrigerated preserves the quality. I have left overnight unrefrigerated, and definitely doesnt reheat nicely in morning.
*Tip for those dont want to stay at maccaz drinking 2 coffees etc. Make use of the 2 cup holders in car๐Ÿ˜‰ 1 take home and drink now, 1 to refrigerate for later. Ps. I know there are probably going to be some coffee enthusiasts who are very pedantic regarding there coffee preperation, I am no expert, but logically, there would be some degradation in quality after refrigerating then reheating a latte etc . But its FREE ๐Ÿ˜ƒ so im not too fussed if it isnt perfect. Lol.

    • "coffee enthusiasts who are very pedantic" probably don't go to McD's for coffee… Just saying. ;p

  • -3

Free toxic drink to go with toxic food.

    • -1

      Coffee is toxic now?

      • -2

        Not when served by Ronald.

        • -2

who personally injects GMO modified hormones into it when you are not looking due to HAARP, Monsanto and 911, right?

        • @King Tightarse:
          Shh. Muppets r on.

        • @cheepwun:
Calling people "Muppets" has no particular meaning in Australia. I have heard the British use it as some kind of presumed insult but don't know or care what it means. Personally speaking, I quite liked the Muppet show when I was a kid. That is all it means to me - an OK -ish childhood TV show memory

  • +1

What isnt technically "TOXIC" ?? Air ?? Water ??
Water has flouride , and probably all sorts of other 'toxic' substances.
Air obviously has plenty of toxins from cars etc .
All sorts of things have free radicals, causing us to age.. 'toxic' . Lol.
If we really dont want anything 'toxic' maybe move to somewhere uninhabited and untouched like Antarctica, then live off fresh locally sourced animals.
Anyone have some deals on flights to Antarctica and a free ebook on igloo construction ? ? Though we shouldn't fly there, the flight would potentially be 'toxic' we will have to walk ๐Ÿ˜‚

    • +1

      Swim… The wimhoff method.

  • Mine just says check back for rewards. None on there.

    • Try logging out, then log back in again & the rewards should appear. That usually works for me.

      • thanks
        i had to do that

  • With initial setup of account options for each new You have to click at bottom, then choose option that you want to subscribe to offers etc. Then close and open about 2 minutes later. Offers should then be showing .
Also, for multiple accounts, there is no issue at all with using same card for payment, for multiple accounts. Just be sure name is correct as per card, when inputting payment info. (Dont need to have real name in maccaz account setup though, my name is always 'john smith' ๐Ÿ˜› .
Also, i have just won an instant win $20 free parking at secure parking. I will offer to friends and family, however if not required I will offer to anyone who wants it.
We should start a thread for people who get an 'instant win' card in monopoly, but are not interested in the prize.
We should be able give someone the number code on ticket, just dont scan the 'instant win' on your account, if your going to gift the voucher to someone else on here.
Im a noob here, but perhaps someone could link this and other maccaz offers, to a page where can give away unwanted 'instant win'

  • If anyone wants the $5 emag subscription thing, I have 1 of them sitting here which i wont use. Message me if you would like the code for it to use.
Dont mail about the $20 parking just yet, as I will be checking if family member has use for that first.

  • Bit odd, tried to use it today and Sydney Olympic Park for a soy latte came up unavailable. Can't pick soy at all at this store on the app. :(

    • Oh ffs worked it out just press scan button and presto no dramas

    • +1

If you can't choose soy in app (or if anyone has similar issues with order adjustment)…. Just explain to staff, and they are usually quite happy to just adjust it, once order has gone through ๐Ÿค— .
ie, as long as you have put through an order for eg. 'Latte, 2 sugars, etc' there is no reason why they would refuse to adjust it, once the order received and gone through etc โ˜บ .
Could even just send order through, then approach mccafe staff and politely explain the app issue and ask them to adjust it order 15xx to soy ๐Ÿ˜‰ .

      • The manager just said to me the first time oh can't do anything about it after explaining the offer and then later in the day when I worked it out a different staff member just pressed a button and it became free!

  • The app is still pretty hopeless as ever. Struggled to get this to work through the app (crashed on me if fiddle with it for too long), ended up putting it through the kiosk. Couldn't customise to pay for soy milk for my chai, so bought a fries to claim the free drink. Clever marketing I say, otherwise wouldn't have gone to Macca's!

    • The app can be frustrating. Honestly though, the staff do not seem to be trained at all about the app, this is more the issue.
I have found that asking for the manager usually gets you to the only person in the staff that knows much about how to use the app.
Its quite rediculous and foolish on maccaz part, that they obviously want customers to use app and online ordering etc, as it will result in self-service, less staffing required. Yet they don't train all their staff in helping customers with app ordering. I dont blame the undertrained staff AT ALL, but ffs, maccaz upper management need to give every staff member adequate training.
For now though, the manager of stores generally seems to be able to assist with any issues with how to use app.
