    How does that deal compare to the Free 3 year license from AutoDesk itself?

    http://students.autodesk.com/

  • Is this the full or lite version?

  • Hi All,

    This is the full version, except that it;
    -can only be purchased by students
    - cannot be used for commercial purposes
    - print outs are watermarked to indicate this.

    Regarding the free license, I was unaware this was available to Australian students. I will investigate and get back to you tomorrow!

    um you can get this for free for students…

  • I'll prefer it free, thanks.

  • http://students.autodesk.com/ - if you have an .edu email address (if not your sysadmin will help you out)

  • It's definitely free for students, teachers and those linked to a school (with a .edu addy). We have taken advantage of the free versions at my school in Brisbane. Aussie schools can register and download for free here

    • Can schools actually install it on their networks, or only on home PCs of Students and Teachers?

  • This is poor trying to scam students like that:(

  • Just a quick note, those are boxed copies. But $135 for a box and a DVD is still a ripoff.

  • Yes, this is a boxed version. Schools can't install it, but teachers can purchase it for the purpose of marking assignments etc. Also, not sure if this makes a difference, but it is a 5 year license.
