    Canvas Print - Stretched 24"x18" - $114.95

Ouch! It would need 3 or 4 for $1 to make it much of a deal, compared to the others we have seen here.

    Canvas Print - Stretched 24”x18” - $114.95

and $15 postage on top of that….

    http://www.artscow.com/photo-gifts/Stretched-Canvas/Canvas-2…

bigger (24x20), cheaper (us$50) and use code 'freeshipping20' for free shipping….buy two and is still cheaper than the $1 deal here (under au$110 vs au$130)

    • You are comparing something made and printed in china to something made and printed in Australia.

The artscow reviews I have read have been mixed with people saying that the colour was not accurate.

      • I couldn't see where it says the canvas is made and printed in Australia? and….does it matter?

I haven't read any reviews on photo igloo, aside from their 'testimonial' section which cannot be added to, and may be customers, may be rellies of the business owners…. who knows……..

Anyone can add a review on artscow

  • Of course….if people wanted smaller ones, the previous artscow deal http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/32915 is still active…

    meaning….
    photo igloo…2 x 18x12 canvas = around $73 shipped
    Artscow…. 2 x 18x12 canvas = around au $32 shipped

special runs til 11th of Nov I think….

  • I've ordered from this company and their canvases are top notch. Just checked out Arstcow's site and am horrified at how they finish there canvases. Hello, half a dozen giant staples are not going to hold that canvas straight for long. Oh and Andy - Photo Igloo are Australia owned and operated, I rang them when I first ordered. I'd rather spend my money here and get quality than buy cheap crap from O/S that's not going to last. There's a difference between being a bargain hunter and being a tight wad y'know.

    • I have no doubt they are Australian owned…however, I could not find anywhere on their site which said their canvas is made in Australia…..

half a dozen giant staples are not going to hold that canvas straight for long

Interesting……how are the canvases from photo igloo held? I have a number of canvas pics in my house, from a number of different manufacturers, (including artscow), and all seem to be held by staples of one sort or another. I generally just hang them on my walls, and they seem to have lasted well so far….perhaps if I was to play tennis with them, or shoot them from a cannon, there might be more of a concern. The 'straightness' is something I normally address whilst hanging the picture.

I’d rather spend my money here and get quality than buy cheap crap from O/S that’s not going to last.

You must struggle when it comes to buying electrical goods and the like. Indeed, I suspect many of the pics put on to canvas these days are taken on o/s rubbish, such as nikon, canon, etc. A global market means dealing more and more with overseas folk and their 'crap', whether we like it or not.

I cannot speak for the quality of photo igloo, I own none of their product.
I do own a number of products from artscow….I can say that they are in some instances half the price of photo igloo, and I can say that the products I have purchased so far, including canvases, are of good quality.

Clearly, you too own a number of products from artscow (?) as you are able to speak so eloquently about their products being cheap crap.

Perhaps we should agree to disagree….
