Scientific calculcator for $4.98 delivered

110

Flip cover calculator " free" from Ozstock, just pay P &H which is a standard $4.98 across Australia. Worthwhile is you or your child need a scientific calculator with the gazillion of buttons/functions that I can't remember how to use.

And it is per calculator, I thought of ordering some for a charity school overseas my mother assists…but the postage is per calculator so hmm…

Better to get a decent two-line scientific so that you can review your equation more easily.

    • the reason these are made single line is they are legal for use in the HSC/VSC whatever

      two llne calculators are not

      • Since the time when I did VCE, the kids are now allowed to take in calculators that even perform integration and differentiation for you, and show the working. In my year (2005) it was quite common to bring in a bog-standard two-line Casio and a TI-83 [Plus, memory cleared by teacher] for finals.

these things used to be $2-3 at the reject shop and similar $2 shops.

really the calculator is no better than a normal one. If you really want power in a scientific lok at the HP/Casio/TI range. There are some great scientifics around for around $20 (and if you are a school student who needs one for exams it's definately worth the extra cost.

    • You forgot Sharp :) they're usually decent and cheaper than others :)

  • For HSC can only use board approved calculators. This $6 calc probs isn't on the list. :P

(But the casio 2 line calculators are)

  • I remember we were allowed to use the Casio SV-PAM ones.

The only ones we weren't allowed to use were graphing calculators (or some versions of it) because they allowed you to store formulas into them and you just had to fill in the variables…

  • I'm too old and non tech savy to have any idea what you are all talking about :P It looks like my casio from school which seems to have a super human battery cos it still runs.
