Courtesy of Sunny from Gearbest who has hooked the OZB community up with this endoscope. I recently received an email from a rival site offering something similar at $6.99 and asked if Sunny could beat the deal.

Gonna try out some home probing to skip out on the doctor fees and cold hands.

Hmm, heard this is a pain in the butt to use.

      Sh!t deal!!

    • +12

      That's just an innuendo.

      • +3

        Haha, took me a second.

      • as far as innuendos go :P

      • +3

        In your endo.

    • +3

Can I use this to stargaze Uranus?

    • +2

I find this deal hard to swallow

      • Yeah I don't think I could stomach it either

  • +5

So you going to try do your own colonoscopy??

Best use some bowel prep first and try not to end up in emergency department. Not a good look :)

    • +17

Remember to do upper gastrointestinal endoscopy first, colon afterwards.

      • +1

Good tip. I imagine more hygienic too.

      • With 3.5m length, could try the whole GIT from mouth to rectum in one go. See the journey of the ozbargainer diet live.

        • +10

Nope. The small intestine alone is around 6m long.

        • Probably see more than diet.

I am no doctor but i am sure your gut is like 20 m long.

        • +2

          @Bluberry:
Besides, I'm sure that OzB diet is nothing more than garlic bread, Dominos, and KFC discounted meals.
No fruit whatsoever, but probably a few eneloops in there.

        • @Kangal: no fruit?!?…we had those 20 cent mango deals…a true ozbargainer would have frozen those for 1 year supply of mangos

  • +6

Look out for that Gerbil, it's still there somewhere.

  • You better check if it is new and not used.

    • -1

Apparently, a good indication of that is if it smells like….nevermind!

  • +1

Just need a special on lube now!

  • +11

Pedro in the Gearbest reviews has some helpful info on this product:

    Cons:
    Bshsjwjsbzjd hsjsjsjjs sjsjususu shsusujs hsj

    • +3

Put this into Google translate to find out what Pedro said. Appears to be Hindi:-

      Peros:
      Jajjadjaj Bhaj Dajadjadjad Dajjadand Bijanandandu
      Bracket:
      Shajasujas Hajj

  • What do you use this for again?

    • Proctological self examination

      • +1

I was gonna say drinking parties, but you do you.

    • +11

This is for inspection of hard to reach places such as behind water tanks, between walls for wiring etc. And not for medical use. Perhaps the item name should be changed

      • +1

        Lol, I could see the headlines now;

"Ozbargainer gets endoscope stuck up where the sunny don't shine. Seller not returning calls or emails."

        • +2

"An out of court settlement of 100 Eneloops was done"

  • coupon only valid for 1 x unit, and so can't be used for Human Centipede-type situations

    • +1

The chicken crossed the road bro

  • +7

Just need a deal on ambulance cover now.

  • +15

If only TA posted this deal…

    • +2

… then the coupon code would be MINIARSE.

    • +3

      nah … arsehole

      • I reckon SPREADEM or OPENWIDE or JUSTRELAX or DEEPBREATH would convey it better :-)

  • How is this a deal or even a bargain? It's not even the cheapest price on Gearbest for this item..

  • Give us an example.

  • Seriously, what could be some good use of this apart from the obvious?

    • +3

Technically speaking, this is not an endoscope. It's a borescope, which is exactly the same as an endoscope but not used in the body.

Intraoral camera system, underwater camera, waterproof Micro - cameras, mmotor vehicle detector, sewer pipeline detector, search and rescue, criminal and custom detector, archaeological detect, the PCB detection, home care, aviation and space industries, care and tractors industries, petroleum drilling industries, constructions and so on.

    • +6

Looking around inside an engine bay, down a blocked drain.

  • underneath bed, or any corner that is just too hard to put our head in……it is just handy to have one…not saying we need it…

  • +1

FYI - just bought it via app without coupon for USD 5.83 (36% off from original USD 9.13 - according to app).

    • +1

Yeah used GB points instead of code and got it for just AUD5.21.

  • +2

SWAT use these to check under the door for Tangos before they kick it down and unleash hell.

    • +5

Just need a deal for a rappel kit and some flashbangs and I'm set.

  • I have used one of these and have to say the picture quality is VERY low resolution. Good if you want to see if something’s down a drain etc but not really good if you want to see any detail at all.

    • Resolution: 640 × 480 30 ftps

  • +24

Those from the NO campaign warned me that this sort of thing would happen.

  • +1

Don't know why I purchased this but (profanity) me it's going to hurt.

    • -1

Not much after a hot steamy session.

  • +5

    Any Xiaomi brand endoscopes?

    • +4

      Xiaomi pacemaker or bust

      • Powered by their 20Ah power bricks.

      • Xiaomi heart transplant

  • It says bargain1012 code does not exist.

    • then its reached it's limit

  • What do you do with this?
    Guess good for holiday photos.
Doubt it is for medical use more like a toy for kids.

    • inspection of equipment located at inaccessible places. Read above.

  • +1

Is the image quality of such a tiny camera actually any good?
We have some nesting birds where this would be neat taped to the roof and not anywhere as big and intrusive as those boxed dash-cam like products, plus this cable would be long enough to run through door/window so we can just watch it on demand.

The video on the product page doesn't seem to look that great (not the intended use I know)

Phone cameras around that size (like the actual sensor/lens) are actually decent enough it's just that the phone body then gets in the way obviously.

    • +1

Resolution and clarity/focus distance are poor/limited but inside a bird nest it could work depending on your use case/expectations - might be OK for rudimentary detection but you certainly won't rival nature documentaries films. The LEDs are bright and adjustable but you may want them turned down/off to avoid/minimise intrusion but then if/when dark you won't see anything. I bought one of these instead http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HD-1080P-Mini-Micro-USB-2-0-Endos… and video quality is much better akin to a laptop webcam and I am hoping to DIY it into a ghetto POV body worn camera.

  • +1

Amazing what we all have such easy access to these days.

  • Use Gearbest app (android for me) and price is 7.42. If i use this coupon then it becomes 7.62. Is it -ve bargain?

    • Using the mobile app I see the cheaper price - add to cart and try to buy but it says no_goods_in_cart.

  • It's expired?

  • +4

Cheapest rear view camera I've seen

    • For car?

  • Anyone know where I can get an Apple compatible version of this? Preferably not WiFi.

  • +5

Predicting a wave of OzBargainers turning up at hospital emergency departments claiming they were just dusting the curtain rails in the nude, slipped, fell and landed on an upturned endoscope!

  • Has anybody found any recent decent bloat-free USB camera software for Android mobile phones and tablets?

I had some great ad-free bloat-free software years ago, but it only worked with Android 2.3. I found another one that seemed pretty good, but it will only install on my phone but not my tablet. All the other ones I've tried are full of ads/watermarks/bloat etc.

  • OP - please clarify if it's single use only?

    • Revised the post. Strange because rep actually messaged me saying limit would be 3 per account.

Trying to contact rep for more stock and increased limit if possible.

  • This deal is off - could you please share the link from rival website?

    • Try now with code bargain1013!

      • +2

Any chance you could negotiate with the rep for a better price? As others have mentioned the price is cheaper on the mobile app.
I'd be willing to pay more for one of the models with a decent camera. This one seems to be more of a toy than practical due to low resolution image.

      • Bargain is back on, code bargain1013 gives you A$5.80 now, even cheaper.

Seriously, I plan use it on a blocked dish washing pipe! As I can't afford to call $100/hr Aussie plumber.

        Seek, you should find.

  • Butt bargain1013 no longer works :(

    • +2

Code is back on, even cheaper A$5.80

  • Got it, and it works fine plugged into PC.

But not Android 7.0. I tried a few apps, but same problem: stuck on first frame, or maybe 1 fps, user interface non-responsive until camera unplugged.
The same apps work OK with a regular webcam and OTG adapter. No high cpu load with endoscope on PC.

    Anyone else had trouble?

    • +1

A reboot seems to have fixed it :-)

  • Cheers OP got one. Code "bargain1013" is working again with even cheaper price than before $5.80 AUD!

  • Bought one 31/10, arrived 14/11.
    14 days.
    That's GearBest we're talking about.

What the hell is going on?
