Depends on the individual, for me the 10 minutes to switch my account to India is well worth the savings. Everything is 40-60% cheaper than it would've been.
Also the fact you can almost blindly buy any future games directly on steam without shopping around knowing you have a bargain of a price is quite a plus. You don't have the hassle of looking through third party key sellers for a bargain.

For some may be not worth the hassle, but long term it's worth imo.

This game has an incredible amount of hackers and dodgy teaming-up illegal gameplay. A lot of 4+ teams tend to wear red shirts to identify each other so be aware of that.
It's impossible to tell if people are cheating unless you're really experience because there's no kill-cam or replay or any sort of thing like that. One moment you're sitting there alive, the next moment you're just dead and the camera pans up and looks down on your corpse vertically. A lot of the time you die and get ambushed, not knowing where you got hit from so you can't even tell if they're shooting through veiled foliage or anything.

There's motivation to hack here because you get BP which you spend on crates, which in turn, you can sell crates on the steam market for $USD. It's absolutely worth buying the $10 hacks and using it subtlety to get an edge, so long as you're not obvious like running at 100Km/hr etc. Even then 90% of the time no one is going to see you running at that speed because it's so spread out.
It's a game of patience and I would definitely not recommend joining the band wagon if you don't like sitting around camping in the bushes for 5-10minutes at a time doing nothing but look around for people approaching. I used to play CoD and CS a lot and it's a completely different experience.
It's frustrating to join a game, spend 10 minutes looting guns and gear only to die 15 minutes in without having fired a single shot. Essentially you joined a game and became a slave for someone else, picking up good gear for them to steal off your dead corpse.
But because of this, it's also satisfying to win a game / round, coming first out of a 100 other players.

Luckily most of the hackers right now are at higher ranks, and not that many on OCE. If they continue to trend upwards, its going to be a massive issue. No other game I can think of is as susceptible to people cheating than PUBG, no other game can a single cheater cause so much issues due to the way the battle royales work.
The hacking thing has nothing to do with crates though, you don't hack to get points, because your account will just get banned, and theres not much point in having steam credit on a banned account. Maybe you are thinking of the old afk bots to earn crates.

Thats your choice. You can sit in one place if you want, but chances are you will never really win much, you won't have the gear for the last circle, nor the skills to beat people 1v1.

Its a tough game at the start, especially solo. Until you reach a certain skill level, you just die over and over. But the rewards are worth it if you like this sort of game that has actual risk.
Don't blame losing, on hackers, maybe you just aren't good at the game?

So many people complaining, taking this game seriously like they have just forked out $100. Just chill, grab yourself a beer and have fun with it, because it undeniably is fun with mates. Yes, very glitchy and heaps of server issues but there's a reason why this game has ruined Dota and CS Go on steam, its bloody fun, which is what games are for.
