  • What about camera with lens included?

    • Just claim the cash back separately on both the camera and the lens

      • won't the receipt show it as combined?

        • +2

I purchased camera and lenses on one of the previous deals, and claimed the cashback on both camera and lens. I submitted two claims (one for camera, one for lens), and used the same receipt for both - no problems.
This looks to be the relevant section from the Ts & Cs:
"Claims are limited to one (1) claim only per Eligible Purchase. For the avoidance of doubt, a claimant is not permitted to submit a claim more than once in respect of the same camera and / or lens. "
As long as you're not claiming the camera twice, or the lens twice, you're ok.

        • @Stzaa83:

          Thanks!

  • This is so much better than last time where the cash back was for the camera and lens bundle.

  • +4

This seems like some great cash back offers and they run through until 7th January. Now to wait for the next big 15-20% off eBay sale and combine them to get some really awesome bargains.

  • thinking of getting a X-T2 body . Googled the price and found Becex Tech (becextech.com.au) selling $1624 for the X-T2 body., while the other stores (e.g., digidirect, cambuy) sell at $21xx .

it shows it is providing Australian warranty… Any comment about Becex Tech?

    Thanks!

    • Grey import.. So not eligible for cash back

      • thanks..

      • Correct - check the participating retailers - this is the locally (Australian) run cashback offer, looking to promote local sales.

    • Mixed reviews. Some good some bad. More so a lot of the bad reviews are for when people are buying phones/tablets.

Most of their stuff is grey stock. That warranty is probably through them, not Fujifilm.

      • Thanks mate!

  • Does Fujifilm currently make any long primes? Like 400mm +

    • Nope, and I don't think they intend to.

  • Need something smaller than my d600 but I can't decide between the xt2 or Sony a6500. This camera is looking to be a better deal as time goes by. Anybody got any opinions on the comparison?

    • +1

I happily sold my A7 II for an X-T2, if that helps.

      • I'd be interested to know why you didn't drop back (to the smaller sensor) to the a6500 knowing your lenses would work with that too?

        • Sony ergonomics are garbage. They're for people who'd rather read spec sheets than take photos IMHO.

  • So the cashback won't come through until late February?

  • What's a good Fuji camera to replace bulky DSLR these days? Are they all still micro 4/3, which not as good as APS-C sensor and slower autofocus?

    • It's APS-C…Olympus & Panasonic are the ones doing Micro 4/3

      • OK, which one(s) is recommended model? Are their lenses pricey and not many options like Sony A7..?

        • +2

          XT-20!

        • closest thing Fuji have to the Sony A7 line is the X-T2 which is a fantastic camera.

if you want something smaller and cheaper the X-T20 gives you 90% of performance of the X-T2 for a fraction of the price.

    • Not a fuji, but for a smaller SLR option, have a look at the Canon 200D. I picked up one a couple of weeks ago to use as an alternative to my larger cameras, and it really makes a big difference when you want to travel light.

  • Is there a limit? How many lens/cashback can be claimed?
