  • Is there a start time on 21st or does it start at midnight?

  • +4

I just tried the code and it worked!

    • Nice. Either 4.5% cashback through PricePal now, or wait until midnight (presumably) for 6% through Cashrewards … (according to OP)

    • Nice, it does..

Can Cashrewards up it to 6% early please? haha

      • +2

Would love to but can’t, as the increase to us starts at midnight. Sorry :)

          Thanks TA. That's great.

Time to use gift cards from up n go promotions.

    • I think they online allow 1 voucher code per transaction. no good for expensive item.

      • Yep. Any work arounds?

        • yes, not spending on expensive item. -)

  • $5 shipping is for items less than 3kg.

    • Thanks for letting us know, mine was under 3kg.

      • How do you find out the weight?

        • Dunno, but you can get a freight quote in the checkout, guess that would let you know.

  • Basically covers the cost of shipping for bulky items

    • Free ship for over $150 has to fit in a standard satchel too. No bulky items.
Trying to buy a bike and the want $150 for delivery!

      • If your local store has stock try to click and collect. I think they have to ship some of the bikes assembled because manufacturers don't want people assembling them poorly themselves or some such. :\

        • that's assuming the manufacturer can assemble it properly and from my experience they cant, always need to pull apart and tighten or loosen parts

  • Do you have to register an account to get the coupon field at checkout? I am trying as guest and can't see where to put the code in to reduce the price. edit: nvm - found it on the cart page, not the check out page.

  • The website will only accept one giftcard per transaction. Any work arounds?

    • Go instore and see if they'll exchange them for one larger one you can use online. Don't if this still works but the person in the queue in front of me instore many years ago had some success doing this.

For those who prefer to shop in store, the newly relocated Rebel at Forest Hill Chase, VIC has 20% Storewide Saturday 21st only. Dave Cunningham and Harry McKay (Newbie players) from Carlton FC will also be there.

  • Fitbit Ionic down $449.00 to $359.20 before CR.. nice!

    • That was the first thing that I checked too. I had an Ionic but the Fitbit Android app kept crashing each time I was attempting to set it up and it took me about 10 tries to get it done via laptop and then it went onto a loading screen and I took it back to JB and to my surprise, in the time I spent driving there, it had loaded up, but I was not impressed with the hassle it took to even pair it, so I returned it anyway.

      • Did you use the same app for a previous fitbit? (Assuming you upgraded to the ionic?).

        • I downloaded a fresh install of the Fitbit app.

20% off at Rebel isn't really a deal. They are usually expensive to begin with

    • That is why it is good to use discounted Gift cards bought during AMEX cash backs and combine them with Rebel sales.

    • +1

not to mention they charge a hefty "handling" fee for online orders (even C&C), which nullifies the 20%

      • +1

What did you order with a handling fee? I haven't been charged one yet.

        • two cans of tennis balls =$4 'handling fee'
          four cans = $8…

        • @blackfrancis75: Ouch :\

    • For some products like Garmin watches, most retailers sell for retail pricing, so 20% on a fenix5 is a massive discount

  • Cheers. Went instore tonight and they honoured the 20%. Very happy.

    • Which store?

  • If the item available online but unavailable in store, is it possible for local store rep. to order the item for you? Has anyone done this before?

    • They probably don't want to go to the expense of ordering in and give you the 20% off as well. These sort of things are usually to move inventory. The one online is probably available at some store in the middle of nowhere that they're happy to ship back to civilisation at your cost :o Especially given this promotion is supposed to be online only.

      • I don't mean the 20% off, just the physical store only stock crap clothing and there are not much to choose from.

        • Yeah, if they can get it and it's not clearance or something they'll order it in for you pretty sure.

  • Why they don't offer instore pick up.

    • They do now, just look up the click n collect icon.

      • I saw the post said "free over $150"

        • That's in reference to delivery.

  • Can we stack the multiple $50 UPnGO vouchers in single transaction?

    • Instore yes, worked for me but not able to online.

      • Thanks mate, which store you tried and when? I wonder if they did some strict policy for that after those UPnGO promo or not.

        • Only just did it last weekend in Newcastle. Lass didn't even look at the voucher (I didn't print it, just had it on my phone) - she just wanted to confirm it was an egift voucher to put in the system.

    • +1

I mean "What multiple Up&Go Vouchers?!" …. One per household …. cough.. ahem.. ;)

      • +1

unfortunately not, there was a memo sent out to all stores stating we couldnt accept them more than once :(

        • +1

Glad I used them earlier then.

        • what does that mean?

  • +3

I was about to order some Adidas shoes, and thought I should eBay them just to see the price. Found them almost 50% lower cost from catchoftheday on eBay. Plus you can use the 20% on top of that and also cash rewards.

    • +1

Yeah. Or get them from sports direct. Rebel seriously not competitive in prices but they have shop front and probably that's why.

    • +1

The power of shopping around! I did the same, sadly CoTD didn't have my size in stock :(

      • I needed up getting 2 shoes from Rebel. As they had buy one get the second 50% off in store. Ended up being $25 more than COD but thats ok.
Then I bought the rest from COD on eBay.

  • Ok time to start collecting up and go and save em gift cards.

  • Why 2 of the Plantronics Backbeat Fit headphones has $125 and the rest is $179? Any differences?

    • The expensive ones are designs from late 2016, the cheaper ones look like designs from 2014/2015. Not sure if they're electrically any different, the specs according to rebel are the same, but who knows if they're right because rebel's SKUs don't appear to mean anything to anyone else. Damn manufacturers and their lack of distinct model naming :o

  • Hi guys,
I have recently purchased Ionic from JB HiFi (a week ago). Do you think they will accept a return? I am thinking of returning it and buying it from Rebel now. Also, does anyone know how ionic compares to vivoactive 3?
    Cheers!!

    • In depth review of the Vivoactive 3 here with comparison to Fitbit Ionic about half way down the page.

      • +2

        vivoactive 3 any day!

        • Yep agreed. Bought one for my wife and she’s really happy with it.

        • @satcher: thanks for the recommendation. Just by looking up on internet, it seems only CBA supports Garmin Pay. One issue I had with Fitbit was that you can only have 1 card activated at any time. Do you know if that is the limit on Garmin as well unlike apple watch with multiple cards to choose/use anytime.

    • I just bought the Vivoactive 3 with this deal, $100 off!

  • -1

Any stupid reason for them not to stock size junior US4 to US6 shoes?

  • +1

Thanks TA! Have been waiting to buy an exxy piece of equipment and just saved a bundle x Legend!

    • +1

what you can do if you havent already is purchase it through click and collect, then go in store and organise d&i for cheaper than only delivery online

      • Delivery was only $5 - cheaper than driving in and parking :) - but thanks for the tip! I might buy some more weights in the future and will def do this x

  • They have had buy 1 pair, receive 2nd pair for half price on clothing/shoes this whole week in store. Ends Sunday from what the saleslady told me. Works out better than the sitewide offer if your after shoes/clothing.

  • Awesome, got $100 off an item that i've never seen discounted.

  • +1

Site is sloooow + timing out or is it just me? Fitbit ionic 20% off + 6% Cash rewards, bargain!

    • If you’re on PC try using mobile. Worked smoothly on mobile (iPhone 6s) for me

  • +6

    hey OB fam,
im currently at work here at rebel, the easiest way to do it is though c&c and pick up in store, that way you can get the 20% off if you can pick up, to save shipping costs. (+ cash rewards and discounted gift cards)

There is also a buy 1 pair, receive 2nd pair for half price on clothing/shoes and can be mixed and matched (1 pair of shoes and a jumper) which works on clearance items as well.

    • -2

Can we stack the multiple $50 UPnGO vouchers in single transaction?

      • unfortunately not

    • How can you combine buy 1 pair and get second one half price with 20% off?

  • Website crashing for me..'CloudFront attempted to establish a connection with the origin, but either the attempt failed or the origin closed the connection. '

Clickfrenzy just put out an email as well…gonna get hammered

  • Do we hope to see better sale % discount on Xmas/Boxing Day? Worth waiting?

  • Yep getting CloudFront errors too, look like they can't handle the flames

  • +3

The page just keeps timing out for me - I thought it might have been because the footy merch was popular but it looks like the site cant handle the traffic.

  • +1

Completely forgot about the cashback! Damn

  • +1

thanks op, twisted my ankle yesterday and get an ankle support today

    • +1

Can't be as bad as Gordon Hayward.

  • Have been in the market for a Basketball system and had my eye on one…Just saved 180 bucks…was almost going to buy last night but thought i would have a look on the weekend..:)

  • great value if the item you are after is already reduced this week.

  • Whilst the 20% off is nice, if you want the NordicTrack C7.5 you can get it cheaper!

I wanted one but couldn’t get click and collect anywhere remotely close to where I live. Turns out these specials are only available for collection from ‘true’ Rebel Spirt stores, and not from the rebadged Amart Sports stores they purchased.

Thus, with 20% off the C7.5 is $1,119.20 for click and collect (assuming you can find one in-store!), or $1,278.70 including freight. Ugh.
However, looking on the NordicTrack Australia site I found the C7.5 listed for $999 with free delivery!

Hope this helps anyone contemplating a C7.5!

  • Hey, can you combine buy 1 pair and get second one half price with 20% off? Cheers
