Just saw this one appear on www.ozfreestuff.com
Choice of 5 to choose from, they actually look like cool little containers…it's a nice idea!

Instructions
Click one of the butts
Read through the page :)
Click on the black highlighted text at the bottom of the page
Repeat above step
Then click "Get yourself a free personal ashtray" or "Send someone a free personal ashtray", depending on which butt you clicked

      I thought it was great when I saw someone pick up a butt dropped by another person walk up to them and hand it back.
      The look on the smokers face was priceless.

      I observed this girl go up to a rubbish bin and then drop the butt to the ground and grind it. What an airhead. Couldn't she have ground it out on the inside of the rubbish bin and dropped it there?

          I can't really see the point of reading it. If someone wants a free ashtray they obviously are motivated not to drop their butts in the first instance.

          Reminds me of the convoluted approach you need to download app Super (a free video conversion app).

          Probably a way to artificially boost the hits on their sites.

    if this is for one of those little plastic keychain ashtrays, glebe council was giving these away for free a couple of years back, being a non smoker i found it handy for stashing mints, strepsils etc

    Title should be changed to read "Free pocket ashtrays AND EARLY DEATH for smokers". What a shame that the page doesn't have any information about quitting smoking, surely that is the better option?

      Well with the dupe rule I rkn after X months it should be ok to repost as some people might not know about it, if it's an ongoing promo. And I'd say after 3 months is perfect to bring up freebies again.

    hey an occasional cigarette every now and then is alright, but filthy pack a day addicts who think the world is their ashtray are the inconsiderate ones.

    i dont mind having a cigarette when im at a party or stressed out, but i would only smoke about 5 times a year lol.

      Well I don't smoke but my uncle used to go through 2 lighters a day.

      I saved him a few hundred bucks a year just by telling him to light his next cigarette with his last one.

      He's still alive but a few of his pets have died of respitory problems. He keeps a puppy and kitten outside now.

    I support the principle behind this promotion. Littering of any kind, not just cigarettes butts, isn't a good thing.

    However, I acquired one of these personal ashtrays when this promotion was previously posted on OzBargain. It is ugly and a piece of crap. I recommend spending a few bucks on a decent one on Ebay.
