Here we go again. Anyone else have too much stocked up now, and considering not buying tomorrow?

    • +2

      Never enough!

      • +4

I'm spending less on Amazon now though, and don't have any big purchases lined up.

        • Time to apply for a new credit card with good signup bonus?

        • Agreed. Amazon is being flooded with top brand items like Yzxxxyt, KQRMH shop, XX010 co etc and with soooo many top brands, getting harder to know a real bargain

    • Yes. Holding out now for 10%.
I broke my own personal rule last time this 7% off deal came up and got a few… oh the shame.

      • +8

        Username checks out.

The only 10% in recent memory was from GiftCards.com.au and they no longer stock Amazon GCs. SB bonuses are still good though.

        • That's the one. I ran out recently too.
Thanks for letting me know they don't stock them anymore. That's good to know.

I've been getting $50 cards when they do the spend $50 get $5 back.
Maybe I will get some more of the 7% ones after all…

Do they run the 7% deals often? I've only seen it very recently.

      • +1

7% GC + Upsized CB + Bonus CB + Discounted Deals + Extra Discounts (like buy 2 get 5% extra) + S&S = if not expensive than Ali/Temu

Prime Day -> Primb Big Deal Day -> Black Friday -> Boxing Day = getting closer to Weekly 1/2 prices at Colesworths

        • I thought Amazon CB wasn't valid if you paid with Gift Card?

          • @OZBMate8911: Amazon counts their GC as internal cash which 99% works with CB as far as I know. The promo credit counts as bonus which can't be stacked.

Paying with GC and buying GC is different story.

    • Did you know christmas is nigh

    • Yeah I’ve been using it for switch 2 preorders but there’s nothing left for me to preorder lol

  • +5

Amazon is trying to steal customers from Woollies and Coles. Good for consumers!

  • +1

In the fine print, it says "A maximum of 3 Amazon gift cards of this denomination can be purchased per calendar month".

Does that mean I won't be eligible for this offer if I've already bought 3 $100 Amazon GC this month?

    • +1

Good question, these usually have different links and I'm hoping that means it will be counted as a separate 3.

    • +2

If you've reached the limit, the denomination will be greyed out tomorrow…
Mind you, you would hope they'd do something so that everyone could participate in the offer tomorrow.

      • The thing is I've already bought 3 and the option is still not greyed out.

        • Let's hope they reset the counter every time they have an offer :)

    • 1 extra for this round then since we bought 2 already last round?

    • +1

Could you buy the gift cards as Person A and B, then gift them to person C, who could then use 9 GC's in a single purchase?

      Am I OzB'ning right????

      • Could you buy the gift cards as Person A and B, then gift them to person C

        Yes.

        use 9 GC's in a single purchase

Yes. Just redeem all the giftcards beforehand.

  • +2

yeh it would be good if today's deal actually tracked first

  • +2

    What happened to 10%

    • ikr. I'm gonna hold until they do 10%. Until then, I'll be stacking the $5 cashback on giftcard >=$40.

    • shopback keeps more % this year

  • Can I level-up my OzB skills by grabbing some sciunted Amazon GC's via Shop back then using them on an Eero 7+ purchase via TopCashBack?

The TCB rules tell me we can use Amazon branded GC's for purchases….

    • Yes

      • Should save $200-250 bucks of the Eero 7 Pro 3pack at $840….

(I know this whole trigger some legend in to action to calculate the exact savings….. 😎🤜🤛

    • +1

Sure can. I used 3% off gift cards + 20% cash back from TCB + the 30% off sale price of a Max 7. Quite happy with the overall savings.

      • I shall action this in the morning!!!

  • so we can buy max 3 of the $100 gift cards per person and get $7 cashback for each one?

    • +1

Will most likely be 1 or 2, we'll know once it goes live tomorrow.

  • I'm busy at 4pm

    • +6

That's ok. We can move your waxing appointment to later in the day.

      • -2

No, not waxing today. That was yesterday.
Today massage at the Epstein Island.

  • +3

    What time it starts? @Hiphopopotamus

    • +5

It says 4PM at the bottom of the post, underneath the tags and above the reminder button

      It's quite easy to miss

      • +1

Don't forget to account for Daylight savings time, Shopback website shows 3pm start for me…

  • I’m finding that eBay Plus often works out cheaper than Amazon even with cashback offers like this.

Example is the WiiM Mini streamer, RRP $139. Amazon dropped the price by 20% to $112. Sellers on eBay have done the same, but then there’s a coupon code for eBay Plus that gives an extra $10 off to bring it down to $102.

Then you can buy eBay gift cards at 3% off via Macquarie Bank to bring total cost under $100 making it more than 5% cheaper than Amazon even with this 7% cashback offer.

And there’s no worrying about cashback tracking or having to wait months for the cashback to land in your account.

Even better, eBay sellers will sometimes send discounted offers to you when you save an item to your wishlist, which then often stack with additional coupon codes.

I managed to get a 2x Fosi V3 monoblock amplifiers for $244 with eBay Plus when the same item was $318 on Amazon (~$295 with this 7% cashback offer).

    • Amazon is for buying small junk, eBay is for TRS.

      • Woah… you just reminded me I’m going to Bali next month. Guess I’m going to need to take my new WiiM Minis and Fosi amps to gift to the villa staff right? 🤩

        • Only if theyre all from the same seller, since u need $300 and both the items you mentioned separately don't meet the quota unfortunately.

          • @ATangk: Oh yeah good point. I’ve bought quite a bit of hifi stuff recently so I’ll check to see if anything does meet the $300 threshold.

            • @max99: The items dont need to be $300 individually, they just have to add up to $300. I'm not sure who the seller is and if they're providing tax invoices, but you can always ask if they can combine the items you've purchased recently into one single tax invoice for ease with TRS.

  • What are the chances of this being (un)tracked? genuine question if anyone had instances of not being tracked from previous similar gc cashbacks with SB?

    • +1

These base cashbacks track 100%, the other ones were bonuses which (eventually) got paid.

  • What Timezone please?

    • +2

AEDT. The time should auto change to your local timezone right above the 'report' button.

  • +2

Start at 4PM Sydney time gang, 1 more hour

  • Heads up, limited to 2x $100 cards

    • I can't even get that, it won't let me buy any. Typical Shopback, I swore I would never use them again a couple of years ago and made the mistake of bothering today but now I remember why sly they are.

      • Have you purchased any $100 Amazon gift cards this month already? They have a cap of 3 a month I've read

  • Is there a max cashback cap or max GC amount?

  • What a joke, I didn't even buy them

Limited deal. You have reached maximum quantity. Explore our other deals to enjoy great savings!

    That was 4:07pm

    • same there is a bug if you don't checkout after you press you lose it

  • +1

    I got 2x (max) $100 cards.

  • i can only buy max 2

  • Added 2x $100 gift cards to my cart, then added a payment method and now it's saying I've reached my limit?

"Limited deal. You have reached maximum quantity. Explore our other deals to enjoy great savings!"

Is this stuck in my cart somewhere thinking I've already purchased it?

    • Try closing all the pages and retry.. I had the same issue and manage to get the Max of 2 x $100

  • It worked for me in the browser, I couldn't get the 7% amount to show in the shopback app.

Did a security approval with the bank, and shopback site froze on processing payment, but the vouchers showed up immediately and both redeemed.

  • lol I added 2 and then didn't check out and went back to store poooof my order was gone and I have reached my max quantity without checking out. Shopback is shit.

  • Wow, well that was very quick to sell out! Like everyone above, I have supposedly "reached maximum quantity". Must have only had about ONE in stock haha..

  • +1

My one now says 'Deal limited 1 purchase only'.

  • I was just able to purchase, but 7% was limited to one card only

  • Only let me buy one!

  • Bring cashrewards back!

  • I can buy 2 max, so maybe that's cos I bought one last time around.
Sounds like if I buy 2 today, I'd get disqualified from participating until a month passes…

  • Just checked out 2x $100. Ty.

  • Grabbed two
Shows upsized cashback after selecting the $100 option

  • Bought 2 x $100 Amazon GC

    Got email as -

    Cashback tracked:
    $14.00 coming your way soon

  • Just bought 2

  • Tried in app - 'Deal limited 1 purchase only'. pfft.

Went to browser. While it was still at $5 added 2 to cart - changed to $100.

    Paid. Both say 7%.

I learned from the last 7% offer to not backtrack or faff about at any time or it goes from 2 to 1.

I bought 3 x $100 GC yesterday so half expected to not be able to buy any.

Email just came through - $14 tracked
