  • What a great idea for flights
We often want to go overseas and do not care about a date just the cheapest fares

I'd like to make a suggestion
If possible include business class flights as well
Then you can find good deals for business class

Thanks we are glad you like the site, it’s perfect for opportunistic travellers. Business class fares are certainly something we will be adding in the future.

      • You have a typo on your About page.

        • Thanks we will have a look :)

what is the normal price fly to fiji?

  • Good sale, did this ever used to be cheaper?

    • Because no low cost airlines travel to Fiji we don’t often see fares much cheaper than these.

      Just had a look and OzBargain hasn't seen fares much better than these from Sydney to Fiji for a while;

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/tag/airfare+fiji

  • What fare category does this price get you? Some virgin fares are upgradable whiles others aren’t. The link you provided https://flights.virginaustralia.com/en-au/flights-to-nadi quotes prices for Go Plus fares. Virgin has 3-4 fare category on this route.

The site is just looking for the cheapest possible fares - you would need to click through to confirm for each fare whats category it is.

  • Fiji Air approx $27 more on a few same dates I tried. QFF points with Fiji Air and also supporting national airline. Nothing like a warm Fijian welcome, feels like your holiday starts early…. Plus ol mate Branson, not really need any more $$… Just my 2 cents.

That said, this is ozbargain & cheaper is cheaper.

    • Virgin walking a fine line of full service airline. My last flight the 'meal' was one small choc biscuit, and the drink options are tea, coffee, water. Everything else is paid extra. So I would call it a low cost airline allowing for one 23kg bag.

    • I flew over on Thursday with Fiji Air. Very old 737 with no WiFi or entertainment. Would fly Virgin over Fiji Air.
Food service was very basic, staff were great. No Fijian welcome apart from a Trio in the arrivals hall, available to all arriving passengers.

    • Fiji Air doesnt seem to be quick to repair inside the plane. Head rest came off. Toilet door bent and light inside does not come on when door locked

Flew with them last week from Nadi to Melb

      • Guess we must have been lucky? Flowen 3 times with them in last 4 years with zero issues with planes, food or service. Brisbane departure. Planes do not always have screens, but only approx 3.5 hour flight & kids have iPad so not a issue for us.

I bought some flights to Fiji in early March cause they were super cheap in an earlier deal, and now I find out I'm going in the wettest week of the wettest season in one of the wettest countries on the planet. Could be interesting.

I've never been there before but by the sound of things would recommend going for the May / June flights if you can.

  • Nothing much to compare these with, but I wouldn’t be paying that much on an airfare to Fiji. Better to get a holiday package.

One listing found from 2016 had one way from Brisbane at $199. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/250903

  • Why/how is Adelaide pricing cheaper than from melbourne?

  • +1

I am from Fiji (FBI - Fiji Born Indian). The Sydney $480 return is worth it. Yes, you will see some rain in Feb but who cares if its 28 deg, you get to buy duty free & Fiji Gold on tap. Look out for hotel deals via Cudo, Groupon etc in Feb.
    * Rep - you have not listed *direct flights out of Melbourne plz ?

  • Hi FBI, the Melbourne flights which were cheapest were via Sydney for at least one of the flights.

  • Thank you Rep - the flight from Melbourne which is via Sydney is at $668+ BUT you have Adelaide to Nadi from $582 Return - and via Melbourne. So can we buy the Adelaide to Nadi fare for $582 and get onto the flight from Melbourne please? Seems more logical and $$ savvy AND THAT will be a deal.

    • You will be marked as no-show at Adelaide and the ticket will be cancelled. So no. You could always drive to Adelaide tho…

    • Hi FBI, We don’t make the prices or sell flights, we just find the best available fares. Perhaps keep an eye on our site and better deals will come up out of Melbourne?

      • Shall do. Thanks.
