  • I had a look at the eyesore that is the MSY parts list and the cheapest wireless mouse they have is Microsoft Retail Wireless 2000 for $19. review: http://reviews.cnet.com/mice/microsoft-wireless-optical-mous…

So this Dadao could be considered a deal, I guess. Looks pretty damn yumcha though.

    • Hang on a sec. That scroll wheel (and the USB receiver) look exactly like they were pulled from my Logitech M950 mouse. That free-wheelable scroll wheel is the number one productivity feature I get from that mouse.

So did they copy this on purpose, or are those parts really the same as the M950? Hmmm, I wouldn't mind carrying a spare just on the off chance for 12 bux.

EDIT: Looking through their otehr mice on there, it looks like they are just deliberately copying the Logitech styling, thought it was too good to be true.

  • Dadao ?

The dadao (Chinese: 大刀; literally "big knife") one of the varieties of dao or Chinese saber, is also known as the Chinese great sword. Based on agricultural knives, dadao have broad blades generally between two and three feet long, long hilts meant for "hand and a half" or two-handed use, and generally a weight-forward balance. Some were made for military use, but they were most commonly associated with civilian militias or revolutionaries

"While not a particularly sophisticated sword, the weight and balance of the dadao gave it considerable slashing and chopping power, making it an effective close combat weapon for untrained troops"

Man if this thing has a little sword inside there i want one !

    • Famous user of Da-Dao : Quan Cong
He carries it with him to all battles. And it's in most drawings of him. he has a red face, long black beard and the very cool Da-Dao.

Quan Cong (died 249 AD) was an army general of the Kingdom of Wu, during Three Kingdoms Period.

  • i checked dealextreme and they have similar mouses at similar prices. unless dadao is a really known brand?

    • Nope, it's just their weekly spam listing of a wireless mouse or webcam.
