Accept Offer worked fine for me, thanks.

eBay, just a suggestion, reduce the triple rip charges, Listing Fee, Final Value Fee and Paypal Fee. Didn't say free, just reduce it. Current 14.2% Final Value + Paypal is too much. Not even including eBay 'indirectly' forcing sellers to give free postage to buyers. It costs me more to sell an iPad Pro than it does to sell my $40,000 car on CarSales.

Yay, got it too. I have nothing to sell though.

    Got it, thanks!

I wonder how specific the category has to be?

I'm told my first item would be: Computers/Tablets & Networking, Laptops & Netbooks, Apple Laptops

But can I still have a second item as: Computers/Tablets & Networking, Laptops & Netbooks, PC Laptops & Netbooks ?

    • +2

think it means you cant have the item listed in two or more different categories, so 1 item can be listed in 1 category say computers, but cant list it under computers & say furniture, so you can have 5 different adds under the same category, if that makes sense.. just try it if it doesn't come off your 5 free adds delete the listing

      • Ah awesome, I'll give it a go tomorrow night when I get home.

Any idea how to check the "balance" of free ads?

        • +3

Go to My eBay, on the left click "All Selling" and then scroll down, there's a text box widget thingy. It's called "Promotional Offers" and it lists all active offers for selling.

    • When you list an item, you are given a "Premium" option to have that item appear under another category to maximise exposure.

thanks! worked for me! i don't think it's targeted because i just got off a 10 listed with no listing or final fee promo 2 weeks ago….of which was targeted

I removed Targeted tag, it appears it might be a limited number of activations so get in quick if you don't want to miss out.

  • +1

    Thanks got one.

  • +1

Thanks-got some high value items to sell. Just have to pay PayPal now…

  • Handy, giving this a try. If I have more than 5 items, but all are in the same listing, am I likely to have no final fee on all of them (or just the first 5 sold)?

  • +1

    Perfect timing. Thanks op.

Have to say though that selling on eBay can be a major PITA these days. I've had far better experiences using Gumtree and other online marketplaces. Little wonder they're offering these promotions to try and get sellers back. There's no chance I'd pay the ~15% all up with PayPal fees anymore.

    • +1

When they charge commission on the entire amount including shipping, it is effectively even higher than that.

awesome. time to use that $30 off voucher $200 voucher to buy something from myself. pay $170, receive $200.

    What does that mean?

  • I just inserted a listing but in the promotions sections of My eBay, it doesn't look like it went through this promotion and instead is under the monthly free listing promotion?

have had that happen before on a 10 free listing offer I received, just contact ebay if they cant fix it they will refund any fees once sold, keep the screen shot & chat transcript

      • +1

thanks, eBay chat suggested same thing and saved the chat in case I get charged fees.

    • How do I find that section of my ebay FeZZa21?

      • +1

My eBay > selling > all the way at the bottom of the page

  • anyone know how many ebay accounts you can link to the same paypal? I have about 8 or 9 items I need to sell so wouldn't mind creating a second or even third account.

    • No idea. If you dont get a reply, try it and let us know if it works…

      • On another website it says you can have 8 ebay accounts per 1 paypal. post was from 2013 though, so no idea if it has changed.

  • Nice

  • Anyone had any luck with second chance offers and getting the credit?

  • page not found when clicking link, is the promotion over?

    • Click the "go to deal" link - not the one in the description.

  • no longer works.
