The price shows as US$105.99 (not $103.99)

    No NFC?

Specs looks good for the price. Any reasons to not buy this phone?

    • No updates.

      • Why does this matter? I haven't gotten updates for my Nexus 5 in years and I'm fine.

        • But this ain't no Nexus.

Then you are at risk. Not running latest security updates is dangerous.

          Install LineageOS.

  • Wow. Too good To be true?

    No official LineageOS. No thanks.

My wife got one and loving it. I installed a custom rom as the onr it came with produced strange errors after a few days but may be it was just corrupt.
Don't care about any more gimmiky updates that add no real usable features most of the time.
    Working really well right now.
Note NO NFC if that's ur thing

  • hmm im considering one of these for android auto. is the requirement of android 5.0 the only thing i need to worry about?

    • I assume you mean connected to a headunit? If no, nope. Android Auto is very picky with phones. My Nexus 6 works fine, but my partner's Oppo has distorted audio continually.

    • I have Android Auto running on my car but it's a 'hacked' version. i.e It didn't come standard with the car, just found it on the mazdaforums.

Works great with my S7 BUT it is a little flaky with this phone. It does work but it seems to freeze every now and again. I haven't had a chance to tinker too much so not too sure whether it's the phone or the AA but just so you know.

      • good to know, thanks guys. i'll give it a miss!

my headunit does both car play and android auto. my primary phone is an iphone 6s but would've liked an android phone for google maps

        • Waze is much better then Google Maps

        • @Regie69:

Yes and No. It has some good features which I really like (Cameras, speed etc) BUT route management (for me) isn't ideal. It always routes me into back streets thinking it'll save time but where I live/travel in Melbourne it takes longer and the drive becomes increasingly annoying with too many twists and turns in crappy inner streets. I've gone over so many speedbumps in a week (thanks to Waze!!) it's worn out my suspensions!! I wish it had a 'stick to main roads' option.

        • @gimme: yeah I get where your coming from. That part is annoying. However there always on there game I reported what I thought was a map error as it was routing me out if traffic by going a long way around. I did you ever receive an email from Waze saying that if I would of went the way it directed me it would of saved 7mins.

          @Regie69:

The best analogy I can come up with in relation to 'saving' a few mins with Waze is whether you'd prefer to get to your destination in 30mins in a comfy car or 23mins in a tuktuk :)

  • this one lacks sd and 3.5

  • No SD card is a deal breaker for me.

I love my Nexus 5, I have loved it for years, but when I finally upgrade, I ain't ever getting a phone without an SD slot again.

  • Comes up as $103.99 for me?

    • Sorry 105.99

  • Got an email this morning for this price.
Jesho do you have some insider trading knowledge cos yesterday I'm with everyone else getting $105.99

  • These LeeCo deals have been posted like 7 times this month!!!

  • did anyone here order one?

I ordered and paid for DHL shipping but the tracking number i received isn't working despite being shipped out about 4 days ago

  • Mine arrived yesterday after a long shipping delay.

Phone was worth the wait as it is fantastic value for money.
Screen looks great and phone is very responsive. Fingerprint sensor works a charm.
Admittedly the OS skin is really odd and similar to iOS I guess. Notifications and switching apps work differently so it's not just like there is a different launcher.
Overall happy with the purchase as the build quality seems robust.

    • Picked up mine yesterday too.
Couldn't be happier with it. Build quality of at $350+ phone imo. Not sure what the fuss is w the OS. It's straightforward enough.

Might even pick up another at the price point, so wrapped w it!

      • Yea exactly…$for$ craps all over other phones. Only downside GPS lock is a little slow but no big deal.
