The A50 was a postpaid phone selling for $550 outright or on 49 Cap at Optus a few months ago. Sales tanked and theyre now selling it prepaid at $199.
May possible be arriving in stores next week but currently online only at DSE.
Uncertain whether this is locked to Optus.
The A50 comes with a powered carkit (which automatically activated GPS mode) and in-built Garmin Navigation including pre-loaded Australian maps.
It is also a 3.5" touchscreen smartphone running Android 1.6 OS.
Updated to 2.1 on my phone tonight using a Vodafone sim - note that the phone sits on the Optus opening screen after restarting for quite some time - it is still organising after the big system reload.
