  • mate, How often do you have to change the filter?

    • +1

Hey, Stage 1 - Doulton Ceramic pre filter every 18 - 24 months and Stage 2 - Omnipure Carbon Block every 12 months. Thanks

  • How does it compare to something like this?
    http://www.filteredwatersolutions.com.au/index.php?option=co…

    • +2

Looks like that only has a poly spun pre filter where as our system has a ceramic pre filter. We also have a stainless steel bracket as opposed to a steel powder coated one. We also provide a choice of taps to suits your kitchen.

  • Seems to be a good price but has anyone had any experience with the brand Doulton?
And are the replacement filters easy to buy or expensive?

    • +1

We use industry standard 10" cartridges so they are found very easily. The price for the doulton filter is $60 and needs to be replaced every 2 years.

      • Just ordered.
Is there an installation guide I can download and follow or are there instructions with the pack?

        • +1

Instructions are included in the pack. We also provide phone support so please dont hesitate to call us if you need assistance. Thanks

        • ordered one, need your help to clarify few things
          1. is there any Euro or Antique for tap options
          2. is there any installation graph included in the guide?
          3. can i drink this filtered water directly?
          4. the size of hole i need to open on the sink
          5. is this unit genuinely imported from UK?
          6. how is the packaging? just concerning the potential transportation damage since the ceramic is so fragile.

          thanks lots : )

        • If mines not been shipped, can I get the "FIN WATER FILTER FAUCET" tap please? (Model: TRU141)
          Order Number: 1633

  • +2

HI skywise please see answers below:
    1. Have a look here: http://www.truwater.com.au/faucets-taps-standard-faucets-c-2…
Basically all the taps priced at $79 you can choose to be included in the kit.
    2. Yes there are installation instructions included in the pack.
    3. Once the system is installed you need to flush and remove the air in the system, this usually takes about 2 - 3 mins after that its ready to use at your convenience.
    4. The hole for the tap is 13mm.
    5. The Doulton cartridge is imported from the UK, the omnipure cartridge is imported from the USA.
    6. Its packed securely in a box. We send out heaps of packages with minimal damage so it should be fine.
    Hope this helps. Thanks

Thanks for your timely response. Cheerio

P.S: how long usually it takes to get delivered? can the delivery be made after 5pm on weekdays?

Might be nice to vote positive on this deal if you have taken it up..

        • +1

I won't vote it a good deal until I get it and install it. What's the point in voting a positive for something that could turn out to be a piece of crap…

    • I have an everpure 1 filter tap system which is installed by water filters australia. it SELLS US A WFA REPLACEMENT CARTRIDGE TWIN PACK every 2 years. australia did not seem to have 1 mocron alternatives when I checked on the net ages ago. this one does.
would like to ask if you can compare yours to this as it seems better. the replacement filters are better value.
if the specs are easily interchangeable I could try the job as I am not handy. otherwise hard to find an ungreed handyman who does not fleece a pensioner.

2 interested in whole house system - no water tank.
wonder what the incremental benefits of 2 and 3 filter whole house systems vs 1 filter.

        • ty. no hurry. at my age I have learned to wait…

Hi, The Doulton Twin is a far superior to most single systems, FIlters are relatively cheap to replace and are standard sizing. In terms of changing out your old system, we would provide you you with all the extra fittings if required. Usually relatively easy and we can provide support etc. Im sorry for the late reply i reached my comments limit for the day. Please use the information in the description if you wish to contact me.

        • ran out of time but have the new offer now for whole house. I take it same assistance applies to a dummy DIYer?

        • note water tank offer.
how is it relevant to whole house?
water tanks are difficult to approve for the strata.
how does this offer of $199for whole house compare with the other 2 offers in the differences in filtering?

        • To answer your first comment yes assistance is given for all our system. Also which Water tank offer? You mean the system we have on sale? This can be used for whole house and tank/rain set ups.

Everyone who purchased this offer your orders are being shipped out this afternoon and you should receive tracking details via email. Thanks for your business! P.S there is still one Doulton Twin available.

    • water tank offer.
      to whole house?
how does this offer of $199 for whole house compare with the other 2 offers in the differences in filtering?
[cold not expect you to read my edit and could not reply to your reply to me earlier.]

      • Hi, These whole house systems will only filter out chlorine, sediment, dirt rust etc. The doulton system will do all the same but also giardia, cysts and chemicals so you get overall better filtration. Thanks

        • received today, looks nice. Will post after installation. Great customer service!

  • Anyone who didnt receive installation instructions please download here: http://bit.ly/bVX0HG

    • Can't see installation instruction graphs which are referred in the manual tho, could you please upload it?

      • Updated with the proper instructions. Sorry

  • Got mine on Monday and installed it today. Easy enough to install. Gets the thumbs up from me.

    • Did yours leak around the valve? Both mine and a friends did and required some fiddling (e.g. re-thread taping) to stop it from leaking.

I had another issue with installation, but this one was my fault. I accidently hit granite under the stainless. Worked out ok in the end though, but needed to buy an expensive diamond drill bit.

      • Yeah, it did. Think I had the same issue as you and your friend.

The connection between the metal screw part and the bit before the blue valve was leaking because it wasn't screwed in correctly. I took it apart, put some plumber tape on it and screwed it back in correctly.
