My last 3 pairs of Havaianas have each failed within 6 months, and that's for the good ones at surf shops and the cheapies like this. For me, they just aren't worth spending money on. I recently ordered a pair of Reef's from https://www.swiminn.com/swimming/mens-shoes-flip-flop-urban-… and couldn't be happier. Sure they cost $65 plus delivery, but hopefully they will last me a couple of years.

My last pair of cheap Havianas from one of these deals is still going strong after two years of daily use.

Quality products are worth the money. Pair of birks are $150, but'll last a lifetime

Geez - seems it's must be just me. My last pair I basically wore around the yard during past winter, they didn't survive the season. You guys can go buy 4 pairs and have them break while you are out-n-about and I'll be happy wearing my "expensive" thongs that actually don't snap a plug or crack a sole.
Buy It For Life can be better than always buying cheap.
Like I said… Two years, and no snapped plugs or cracked soles. Buy It For Life can be better than buying cheap, but not always.

I wear havianas daily over summer, and they last me 3-4 months easily. And I drag my feet so they last significantly shorter than your normal person. Even at $20 a pop i've paid in the past they are an absolute bargain.
My pair from the Surf Shop are still going now into their third summer. And I wear them pretty much everyday during summer.
My reefs are on the 5th summer. Buy once & buy quality = longer term bargain. FYI, cheaper on fleebay generally!
I've got some Reefs with a bottle opener built into the sole from about 5 years ago and still going strong.

That's gotta be the most fun thing at parties, where you're flipping snags on the barbie and a mate comes up to you and says "Oi Bazza you got a bottle opener?
