Check this one out as well
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/338605

    • Yep, looking at that one and investigating for viable alternatives is what led me to this PC!

    • Due to it being dell, cant recommend it as its next to impossible to upgrade in future with it due to custom parts. This deal here is better. But both are still kinda over priced IMO.

You're wrong.. That's their business line.

This has a standard ATX PSU, a H170 motherboard, a normal case, normal FP I/O, etc.

  • +1

Mate , with the 15% discount on eBay, you pay $1282 for the above PC

    AMD Ryzen 5 1600 Processor - $276
    nVidia GeForce GTX 1060 - $381
    16GB DDR4-2133 SDRAM (2 x 8 GB) - $290
    2TB 7200 RPM SATA, Hard drive - $105
    Samsung 960 EVO 250 GB PCIe - $170
    650W 80 Plus PSU - $60

Its better to save time , just pay that extra $300 and get it

Only downside is 2TB 7200 RPM SATA, Hard drive - Better to go with Firecuda Desktop SSHD

    • 15% discount is not for this.. 16gb ram is definitely not $290 either lol, especially for 2133mhz. And where are you seeing a gold rated 650w psu for $60? I would be interested..

EVGA SuperNOVA Series G1 650 Modular 650W 80 Plus Gold Certified Power Supply
This is the PSU they use and cost is $135
      and you also missed
      Case: Inwin 301 $98
      Motherboard: Around $100
      Genuine Windows 10 Home $150

      • The PSU they use is still shitty, G1 from EVGA is very overpriced around here and is based on FSP Aurum design which has bad voltage regulation compared to even units like the Corsair CXM line (the new silver ones).

        Case is a little overpriced.

Nobody buys Genuine Win10, Kinguin keys work just as well.

        • Are they the Win10 keys that are OEM resales? As in, they worked, but are not allowed to be sold separately.

        • @FabMan: Yeah, pretty much.

It's worked for a lot of people, and while it isn't the most legit way to get Windows it still stands as one of the cheapest

16GB of 2400 RAM is $209 at MSY for Team Elite.

I'd go with this one. R5 1600 is very future proof (including the mobo). Gold PSU which is going to be better than a random generic one I think Dell is gonna use. And lastly, the case is not a generic Dell one, rather a decent InWin one (in my opinion lol).

Drawbacks - 2133mHz ram (vs 2400 from Dell deal).

    • Pretty weird, but I looked at the deal again and the RAM is actually 2400!

Not sure how that happened, but I'm not going to complain. That pretty much seals the deal for me here, think I'm going to pull the trigger.

      • +1

Yeah honestly a pretty nice deal if you don't have access to a free copy of windows (uni students). You'll enjoy it. Helped my mate with a Ryzen build before the mining craze and he's having a blast with it.

  • +1

Ryzen CPUs benefit greatly from higher RAM speeds.
The difference between 2133 vs 2600 vs 3200 can be quite significant under certain workloads (2600 > 3200 less so).
Everything else seems ok (although no mention of brands or model numbers) for the price (comparing to other prebuilt systems @PCCG).

  • only issue is the slow RAM (DDR4-2133) they put in. Would be nice if it was faster 2400mhz DDR4 but not a big issue

    • RAM is easy enough to upgrade down the line if I need to anyway

      • Yes, remember you can't mix ram speeds so you'll need to either re-purpose existing 2133 RAM or sell it off in order to put in faster RAM.

        • I just had a look again, and the RAM is actually 2400. No idea how that happened since I copied the specs directly from the ebay page!

        • +1

You can mix RAM speeds, modern components adjust themselves accordingly.

        • Edit: sorry meant to say you can't mix slower and faster ram and have them both run at the higher speed

  • Why-are-there-so-many-hyphens?

Copied from the Ebay page. I realised after I'd posted, and couldn't edit the title.

  • +1

I don't know about you, but I think that's one sexy case.

  • damn, looks pretty good on paper.

  • Do take note that this case does not have stock fans so you'd need to purchase additional fans to cool your components which will cost more than just $1538

    • the ltt video disproved this theory, you only really need one or two case fans, and you can get away with no fans and decent temps as long as you don't have a housefire GPU

  • Well, I pulled the trigger… Now watch there be a much better deal tomorrow!

Now watch there be a much better deal tomorrow!

There's always going to be a better deal in the future mate, just enjoy it!

        The Ozbargain curse!

  • I put it in my cart and applied the P5OZZIE code at checkout. The price came to $1,709.05. Is there something else I need to do to get it for $1538?

    • P5OZZIE has gone back to just 5%, the bonus 10% finished at i think midnight last night.

      • And yet the eBay listing still says "10% off+Extra 5% off at Checkout with Code P5OZZIE."

        • yeah i noticed, they are slow updating things like that, try chat they may let you have it

        • +1

@Trantor: I have sent them a message about their listing.
