Not keen on Agoda's wording of "Up to" but I received the full 12% discount booking via the mobile App.

Also the deal technically doesn't start until the 6th November 2017 according to Agoda's T&C, however it worked when I booked just then.

Book Period: 6th November 2017 to 10th of December 2017
Stay Period: 6th of November 2017 to 31st July 2018
Destinations: Global - Participating hotels with the ‘Promotion Eligible’ banner. Pre-paid bookings only.
Discount: 10% on website bookings and 12% on Agoda Mobile App bookings

Assume Ozbargainers are only interested in the 12% off so here are the instructions from the T&Cs.

Please note: latest upgrade version v. 5.16 is required to activate discount
1. For bookings made via the Agoda Mobile App eligible card holders need to first open the URL www.agoda.com/amexau on their device and this link will open the App and apply the discount in the payment area during the booking process. This process must be followed each time during the promotion period to achieve the discount via the Agoda Mobile App.
2. Once the eligible American Express card has been entered in the payment area the discount will be applied.

I added my Amex card number on the payment page and it popped up a message advising a discount had been applied and the price automatically reduced by 12%.

    Be very very careful guys. When I installed the app, my price was in USD but just showed as $830. When converted into AUD, it was more expensive than using the Agoda website and there was no confirmation of Amex discount given. I've called to cancel the booking.

    Skeptical at first but tried on Website, and when you put in AMEX CC you get the card verified and the discount shows. Saved $200+
