Not the case at all, I have spent the past days reducing prices.

      • Well factory 2nds are hardly going to be "was retail price"

    • +17

Here you go, in July, this oven was fetching $1,349. Now it's $799.50.

Maybe do some researching before you insta neg.

  • -3

I NEVER believed in "factory 2nds." a proper factory would NEVER let a "2nd" out the door in the first place, would be fixed to new and cannot tell condition or scrapped

Do you mean reworked from refunds/returns, showroom stock etc or other?

    • +3

All Factory Seconds are in perfect working order, but may have: slight cosmetic imperfections, be a previous year's model, an ex-display item, refurbished etc.. In reality some have marks on the boxes, mark on the item etc, basically noting wrong and we cant sell as new in store. I got a seconds fridge last year as it has a scrape on the front, a fridge magnet solved that problem $400 saving, thanks very much !

    • +1

Factory 2nds doesn't mean it has been rejected by quality control. It is just an umbrella term that covers customers that change their mind and returns an item, items that customers thought were faulty but are actually in perfect working order, packaging that may have been damaged during transport or storage, etc

In terms of condition quality, factory 2nds are usually considered almost as new, and is better than refurbished items.

      • -1

meh I dont mind factory 2nds, its the claiming off retail price that bugs me.

Even just cosmetic issue like a scratch is a 20-50% lower price, not a 'saving'

  • +1

I am working my way through each product making sure the user manual / instruction manual is listed to ensure you have all the information…

  • +1

Delonghi stuff is middle of the pack quality wise - but probably no worse then a large chunk of the market. Pretty bloody cheap some of these models - especially the 60cm pyro oven for $450.
You dont have any 80-90cm induction c/tops and combi mwo/ovens floating around that you want to mark down too?

  • +4

FWIW I think there's some pretty good deals in there - actually just bought one of the DE6038MD double ovens, $500 for a double oven is almost an impossible price - so the fact it's a reputable brand and also atleast a mid-range featured oven is further value - free delivery for such a large item is the cherry on top.

Thanks OP, very happy with purchase. :-)

  • Can I ask why there are two DE6038MD with different RRP. One shows an RRP of $2399 and the other has an RRP of $1350. What is the actual RRP???

    • Let me check… In my rush to get that live the RRP was auto filled wrong, they are both the same @ $2399.00, and both are at the same price for seconds and clearance mmm

      • DLKWBR, I've messaged you privately about and issue stemming from this as I bought the 2nd, but the brand new stock is exacty same price but with full warranty. Would appreciate your assistance or guidance to someone else who can, cheers, Nick

        • +5

          Fixed, as per PM message…

The Clearance item is priced to low, it should not be the same as the second, so it will be changed by the end of the day, we will honour any orders places until then. plus i have my free 1ft long sub still to eat (stuffed) :))

          http://www.delonghi.com/en-au/products/kitchen/major-applian…

          Get in quick …

        • +2

@DLKWBR: Much thanks - FWIW great customer service by Delonghi's 1800 number staff and also DLKWBR - very impressed, got through super fast and they sorted in a heartbeat!

        • @DLKWBR:
does a 60cm cooktop stack on the top of this oven or say how to stack a cooktop on an oven? The one we have is a free standing cooktop with oven. Do I have to get the same type as what we have right now?

        • @DLKWBR:

It says out of stock in the results page but if you click you can still buy :( not good for us but good for OZ bargain customers lol …

          http://www.delonghi.com/en-au/products/kitchen/major-applian…

          Limited stock left though !

        • @DLKWBR:

i cant seem to add it ..

        • @DLKWBR:
I also got the "out of stock" for the clearance item late on Friday evening so had to purchase the factory second item. I have now discovered the clearance item is back in stock for the same price I paid for the factory second. Will you Honour the previous offer and swap my item for the clearance item which is brand new and has a longer warranty?

        • @Lochie:
Still shows out of stock for me

        • @DLKWBR:
I have sent you a PM also.

        • @DLKWBR:

Still can't order, same as last night. Price has gone up to 559 as well.

        • @DLKWBR:

Left the price on for as long as I could but its now at $559.99
          http://www.delonghi.com/en-au/products/kitchen/major-applian…

Currently showing out of stock but I have managed to add in the last few pcs, so the stock will update 3am I think and you can buy.

        • @DLKWBR:

Nope :( nothing at 3am and 30 mins after..

  • +1

Rep are there any 60cm cooktops that can be discounted to match up with any of the 60cm ovens? I saw the DEH60S is half price, but it doesn't really match with any of the ovens.

    • Let me have a look at the list to see if there is anything i can do today…

      • +1

Which oven are you looking at ?

        • Mainly looking at the DE609MP, but also potentially the DE605MS

      • How about the same to rangehood?

  • Hi, I'm interested in a DE6038MD but how do I know what is wrong with the specific oven that would be delivered to me, what makes it a factory second? Thanks.

    • +1

Can't you read a few comments before you? You can get that oven brand new for the same price as the factory second one (they made a mistake but are honoring the price).

    • +1

The rep has VERY generously said that for TODAY ONLY they'll honour the EXACT SAME PRICE on the brand new item:
      http://www.delonghi.com/en-au/products/kitchen/major-applian…

Factory new and full warranty - so buy that at the exact same price. Can't do better. :-)

      • +1

They said they would honor the price until they get around to changing the price (might not last until the end of the day).

    • Typo pasted wrong model number, DE609MP

    • All Factory Seconds are in perfect working order & never been used, but may have: slight cosmetic imperfections, be a previous year's model, an ex-display item, refurbished etc.. In reality some have marks on the boxes, a mark on the item etc, basically noting wrong and we cant sell as new in store.

Most cases its very hard to see any mark etc for example its refurbished if a door has a big mark on it or a large dent, our technician would replace it with a brand new one, as the door was replaced we cant sell as new even though its now perfect.

      • Got one, thanks! Perfect timing.

  • How long are the clearance prices available?

Settling on a house with an ancient shitty oven on Thursday…

    • until stock goes…

      • Fair enough!

  • Does it come with full length of warranty?

    • All clearance items have the standard warranty 2 years, factory seconds is 1 year, but as mentioned the difference between them can be a scratch, damaged box etc… These prices are well below cost.

      • Hi Rep,

wondering how is the reliability of your oven?

i know you are the Store Rep, but maybe you can give us an honest review

        thanks

  • Rep. Looking for Gas oven and stovetop. Any deals so I don't have to hook up power? already got a gas main…

    • Hi, All the deals are listed online, you can filter by gas, electricity in the results.

  • What is the difference between the $400 and the $1049.50 DE60PYROS

  • +1

tried filtering results it goes to an error page. http://www.delonghi.com/error.aspx?aspxerrorpath=/templates/…

Can you just hyperlink the GAS ovens that are discounted? Strange that you wouldnt put it in the product heading as it would help customers discern which ones are elec and which ones are gas.

    example:
    DOUBLE FULL MULTIFUNCTION BUILT IN OVEN - 60CM DE6038MD - http://www.delonghi.com/en-au/products/kitchen/major-applian…

Have to go into the details before I know which one it is.

  • Hi there,

For model number DE6038MD, is the stovetop induction?

    Thanks

  • Before you buy check ebay prices there are a few ovens with similar specs sold for the same price everyday.

    • +1

The only similar price I could find was for the Europal (made in Europe) brand of Oven. There was an attempt to trademark the brand name by some guy in Dandenong. So I do not think the product is comparable. As in, at least this is a publicly listed international company, so in case things go wrong you may have some recourse.

      • -3

At lease they have 2 years warranty which those 2nd hand only cover 6 months.

        • -1

          WRONG, WRONG and WRONG
          http://www.delonghi.com/en-au/customer-support/warranty

Sorry but I've a small tolerance on folks that just make stuff up - and the only out claim for you here is claiming stupidity.

Which 2nd hand ones????? Who's selling 2nd hand items in this thread?

Please get your facts and BASIC understanding skills correct before you post up claiming something.

    • No one will sell items the same quality as this, because most of these items are less than cost to make.

  • A long shot I guess, but any upcoming similar specials on coffee machines?

    • +3

maybe soon… keep an eye out for black Friday ;)

  • Does Delonghi also do oven installation? Dont think I'm confident enough to install it myself….

  • maybe clearing crap stock? eg reviews are bad for this one so wouldn't trust it with a 1 year factory seconds warranty
    https://www.productreview.com.au/p/delonghi-de9-6gwf.html

    • +2

to be completely honest, the only people who really post up negative reviews, particularly on that sort of site, are unhappy customers.

      • Unhappy customers because their stuff broke.

      • lol peternow had to read your comment twice. Yes unhappy customers tend to post up negative reviews!

  • +1

For most of these ovens which are made in "Europe" —> made in Turkey under different badges. If you want big warranty then buy IKEA oven with 5 years warranty.

  • Do you have any induction cooktops with ovens, combined? 90cm width

  • +2

My kitchen is recent, so no need for the offered items. Just thank the rep for posting and the follow up comments, all in all a great posting for the OzBargain members!!. Next time I might be in the market for some replacement appliances, keep them coming!.

  • Hi Rep, Are you looking at any future sales like these on the coffee machines, particuly the ESAM6900M PrimaDonna?

    • +1

Its on my to do list to see what i can offer, but this is a very special sale as lots of items are below cost… I will see what i can do, and as always post on OZ Bargain. Don't forget to look at the seconds page for coffee machines, I was speaking to the guys who check them and the one he showed me got a replacement panel because of a scratch he had to pint out to me ! other than that it was new… we both said someone is getting a great deal ! which is the case with all our seconds.

  • -1

Here is my opinion…. for what it is worth.

I have had our Delonghi gas oven and microwave oven die within 3 years. Only things that have survived is the built in dishwasher and wine fridges…. which are never on anyway. Put me off big time. The microwave oven was drawing power when it was off, resulting in an extra $300 ($450 to $750) of power usage in the quarter. It went to the tip and bought another one as it was a built-in and had to fit in with our existing cabinetry. Not happy.

    It was all electrical problems.

Because the wine fridges are never on it is a 66% failure rate.

Post here in 3 years to see what died and what is still going strong OzBargainers.

If companies were more in it for the quality and believed in their product they would offer a reasonable 5-year warranty. 1, 2 - 3-year warranties on big-ticket items…headshake.

    • +1

I agree delonghi is a rubbish brand and not worth the full retail they ask for it.
these deals are pretty good for the price the product is truely worth and if you get 3-10 years out of a $299 oven then you have done alright, if you paid $1700 or it then it sucks.

Your opinion on the other hand not a good enough reason to neg this deal.

    • +3

I would urge consumers to remember that in this instance and ALL purchases instances you have BOTH the manufacturers warranty but ALSO the statutory warranty rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Now while the latter isn't as simple and hassle free should you have a failure/issue it still provides a significant amount of protection. While I do not pretend to be an absolute expert i would imagine that the implied/expected reasonable lifespan for an oven claiming a RRP of $1500-2000+ would atleast be 5-10yrs and as such you could expect a degree of protection if not full protection during such a period.

Very overlooked area of consumer law - mainly as manufacturers would prefer folks didn't know about it - but I think OzBers tend to have a rough idea what it's about. FWIW in several outside of warranty issues I've had with manufacturers as soon as I mentioned statutory warranty rights they suddenly got serious about assisting me - after trying standard 'fob off' techniques to dissuade me.

Been perusing Ozbargain religiously looking for a deal on a new mobile after the dog used my S5 as a chew toy, end up buying a new oven……..go figure.

But seriously, purchased the DEL6038D for $499. Looking forward to replacing my Whirlpool oven which has been out of action for the past 18 months or so. Nice work rep.

    • +2

Been perusing Ozbargain religiously looking for a deal on a new mobile after the dog used my S5 as a chew toy, end up buying a new oven…

Cooking the dog as punishment really isn't going to teach him anything! :-O

      • :-D He'd be an expensive meal.

  • Are those stove tops also ?

  • Server errors while trying to checkout : (. Finally made it through. Thanks Op! Been meaning to replace our broken oven for at least two years. Have been using a small plug in oven.

    • Sorry, new websites are coming next year, and they will be OZ Bargain friendly for sure !

  • FYI, our system updates stock during the night so check back tomorrow if it says out of stock today, as there might be more stock tomorrow…

  • Can't find any reviews on the De609mp

  • Hi rep, I hesitated to buy the upright electric oven DE60E as the specifications showed 90 cm wide. Pretty sure it is actually the 60cm wide that I wanted. Now showing out of stock. Is there any chance that you might be able to find another one? Thanks.

  • I purchased the new clearance stock double oven for $499 but after the payment page it said an error occurred. So went back to payment and said payment already processed for this item. No corfirmation email of purchase so not sure what happened. Don’t want to go in and buy another one when it says it processed my payment already. My first delonghi purchase so not sure what’s happened?? Hopefully Delonghi rep can you help? Phone number I called is out of hours now. Thanks.

    • PM me your details and I will look into it, but if there is no charge to your credit card it has not went through and I would reorder. Check your online statement to confirm. If payment went through I will sort it for you.

      • Thanks for your response. Yes my credit card has been charged as of 10am today so the purchase has gone through but no confirmation email sent. I can’t pm you as I’m new to the comments area so won’t allow me to. If you can pm me that would be great. Thanks.

        • Give us a call om Monday and our call centre will be able to sort it out for you / confirm you order…

        • @DLKWBR: thanks will do : )

  • Hi. I have commented above and sent you a PM about purchasing a DE6038MD oven as a factory second on Friday evening because the new clearance item that was for the same price of $499 said it was out of stock. However, I subsequently discovered on Saturday morning the new clearance item was back in stock. I purchased the clearance stock to avoid missing out and want to cancel the earlier order for the factory second and get a refund. Can you sort this for me please? I am not sure if my PM are working as o have not used before. Let me know by replying to this if you send me a PM.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Hi DLKWBR, after much thinking I took the plunge here and made an order for several items yesterday so now since its all online and I couldn't see the items, I'm hoping that you can check if I can somehow just avoid faulty returns and instead get one of the other categories of "factory seconds" given my bulk purchase - order D10062868. Thanks mate.

  • -7

If its brand new then its a deal , but most aren't, and make sure those items's WARRANTY ARE 6 MONTHS.
Like this one is a deal http://www.delonghi.com/en-au/products/kitchen/major-applian… Cuz its brand new with full warranty.
but the rest not so basically those items are second hand

    • +1

I'm sorry but your comments are flat out incorrect and both your posts illustrate a complete lack of understanding of whats offered & possibly literacy.

You've pulled the 6mth warranty presumably out of your backside - as it clearly states that for T2 refurbs & 2nds it's 1yr AND more importantly as I stated before you posted even these are fully covered by statutory warranty rights under Australian Consumer law.

Secondly, equating a genuine refurb/2nd with 2nd hand is borderline moronic - as the OP stated from the get go and it's common knowledge these days but often it's just a cosmetic fault like a scratch on the fascia or a dinged up box…..but somehow you feel this is the same as having been used for several years (as a second hand item would)???

Honestly please either READ things fully before posting up knee jerk nonsense or leave this deals to folks who understand whats clearly written - the ~70+ votes the deal has speaks for itself.

      • -2

No matter what, you can't put a brand new item's price to sale a 2nd hand item and say its save,ITS DIFFERENT.
As I can see this is same model of DE60PSC
Brand new still selling for $1099 and the price haven't changed to $299
        http://www.delonghi.com/en-au/products/kitchen/major-applian…
And this is 2nd hand is selling for $299
        http://www.delonghi.com/en-au/products/kitchen/major-applian…
Like OP write up to 82% off, it means the rrp is $1099 so why same model with same rrp but one got discount other don't?As my point of view, its just the price of 2nd which worth $299 and is not save.

        • Thats how the entire industry works - not just Delonghi EVERYONE IN THE WORLD selling refurb/2nds does that….and consumers have no issue with that as it gives them an idea:
          - what the product was selling for 'brand new'
          - they understand that generally a 2nd/refurb' isn't a bad thing at all

Way not to own your claimed '6mth warranty' garbage - must be nice to make stuff up and then not admit ya got it wrong. ;-)

I'm done with replying to you - you don't like the deal and have illustrated a complete lack of understanding of very basic concepts. Ciao :-)

        • -2

@Nikko: I guess you work at delonghi

  • -6

Also I find out they just made up of their rrps like this one Clearance Stock: Stainless Steel Multifunction Oven DE60PS
$250.00 Was $899.00 Out of stock ,but here still selling for Stainless Steel Multifunction Oven DE60PSC
    $1,099.00,at same page http://www.delonghi.com/en-au/products/kitchen/major-applian…

    • +2

      Jibberish anyone?

They're two different products and I've no idea what your issue is - nearly every single manufacturer has RRP's that often are significantly higher than the products 'real world' price - unless you're Apple or Prada. So is that your gripe?

Look at the value….find me a double oven of that quality or a pyrolitic oven even CLOSE to the prices listed under the clearance sale….and don't forget the free postage.

Honestly the fact so many sold out speaks for itself - you don't like the deal, more for others - but don't make stuff up just so you can troll the deal the OP put up and then stuck around to support.

      • -1

If is clearance then it wont be much,so sold out doesn't mean anything also I think there have plenty 2nd hand double oven for that price or cheaper

        • You think? Sorry but sold out means an OzBer likely saw what you didn't, which was that there was some very good buys in there - thats 100% what it means.

Again 2nd hand is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT to these so why don't you go the whole hog and say,"You can get far cheaper broken double oven on the kerb during council cleanups"

3rd and final time, you're not understanding whats offered - perhaps it's a language issue but either way if you're not sure of the facts best not post up false statements.

Rather than posting up nonsense as I stated PLEASE BE MY GUEST AND FIND NEW OR FACTORY 2ND double oven & also pyrolitic ovens for the lowest price you can.

I look forward to seeing what you find. crickets chirping in the background

  • +3
