Seems like a very good everyday price if you weren't able to get the $40.95 price from catch.

  Not imo, wait for a good deal on the 4k chromecast or a newer model with more performance. The only difference is really wifi and a new shell.

    The only real difference between the v1 and v2 is the physical design - it was changed from a stick to a hanging disc to help with wifi signal. If there's no issue with your v1, there's no need to get a v2.
