  • nando's deal is all gone :(

  • -4

Are you serious, how fast did the Nandos deal go ffs. WA always cops the shit end of the stick.

  • Shame DJ deal reduced to $150 however delivery now reduced to $100 for free posting of gift card plus cheap item.
Best cheap item so far I could find is $2.95…there use to be a link…can anyone remember it?.

  • I read the Samsung T&C and the link in there only goes to Samsung TVs. Does this mean that I cannot purchase a Samsung Note 8 and a Samsung Tab S3 and get the 20% off? I would not like to be caught out.

    • T&Cs had no exclusions wrt product.

    • I think the deal was originally supposed to be for the Note 8 launch, hence the very specific amount. But it should apply to any other Samsung purchase, not just TVs.

  • Looks like 20000 reached…offer gone

  • So… Samsung Galaxy S8 999,00. If I buy 2 I will have 20% OFF… Let's say 800.00 for a Galaxy S8. Not the cheapest option around but it looks pretty good.

Get $100 in ad credits when you spend $25*

    Google

  • Is there any fee free Amex card?

    • +1

3 I believe, with the Amex Essentials my pick of the bunch.

Or if you're an accountant or professional, the Gold card.

      • Thanks~

        Aren't we all professionals
        Source - Gerry harvey

      • Any reason for a gold card if your an accountant?

        • For the Bling!

And so that you can have 2 primary $0 Amex cards (Gold and Essentials) that both contribute to the same Amex rewards program.

  • heads up for people excited about Nandos amex deal. Not mean don't go to nandos but inspect you dish before your chick bites!

    pretty recent this. http://www.news.com.au/lifestyle/food/food-warnings/maggots-…

Surprised so many ppl took up the $30 off $150. That's only effectively 10% off.

    • It's 20% off? 30 goes into 150 five times

    • Still better than nothing, e.g. if you were going to spend that anyway or if speculating on a sale on stuff sometime between now and 5/12, say a Dyson offer or something.

  • Anyone (in sydney area) interested in purchasing anything at Samsung online store at 20% off in my transaction? I am not able to reach $1700 minimum spend at Samsung online. I am short of $350.

Made a profit buying new glasses from Specsavers after my health insurance refund, they were happy to split payment over multiple cards.

    • Whats the prices like for the new glasses, frame and lenses? I've never bought a pair before and looking to get one.

      • They start from about $80 and go to $400, but most them are a buy one get one free situation. Usually I get a $199 pair with no gap from HCF, but this time I paid myself for a $300 pair and claimed back with HCF after. There's also discounts for nrma members.

    • Does bupa or heath insurance requires prescription as well or just the invoice to claim ?

      • HCF just needed the invoice, but it was for prescription glasses.

        • thanks I am assuming they just look at the item code and process the claim

    • Did you buy at one of the listed stores? Or another store?
      Thanks!

At the one in Canberra centre acctually.

        • Thanks - that confirms the list on the Amex page is not comprehensive

        • @madpig83: Yes I think it only shows you the closest ones, but there are a few specifically excluded as well.

        • @kez36:

Definitely not showing my closest ones, as I don't even live in NSW, but yes exceptions noted. Thanks

Finally got around to doing the same. Paid everything upfront and getting health insurance refund after, will end up making a profit.

  • Got my new glasses ordered last week (before the offer started, and you pay when ordering) at specsavers and picked up today. They couldn't (or wouldn't) do a refund and let me pay again :(

    • Did they say "Huh ?"

  • Yay! My Pet Warehouse! And free shipping over $50.00. Awesome!

  • Hey guys, my partner bought a coffee machine from Harvey Norman without consulting me and didn't know about the cash back deal (doh!). How good are they with returns/refunds? TIA.

  • +1

Cant claim on my health fund until 1st Jan so I have paid 4x $50 credits on to a spec savers account that the store setup. Have received the emails for the $25 credit for all 4.

An idea for all who are in similar situation.

    • what kind of purchase is this?

      • Sorry dont under the question.

    • So it is not a gc but credit? How long the credit is valid for and whether it is valid for other branch too?

      • I explained the situation to them and the credit is there to use when I want it. Only to be used at the store I paid it

        • Which situation ? Cannot claim until Jan next year or Amex offer ? If first one, wouldn't they confuse why you cannot wait until next year but putting credit into the account ?

        • @yht: I explained thst I wanted to take advantage of the Amex offer but wait till 1 Jan to use the credit for my health fund. They were all good with this.

        • @twilsoncrow: Cheers

    • tried my local Karawara store, they cant do it.

      • They can't do it or they won't do it ?

        • can't.

  • Can someone please help me get the manual link for the Trenery offer? TIA

  • David jones is selling audio/visual again!

  • Damn you ozB Damn you all, both HN and catch got OzB’d today steam escapes from ears

  • is the harris scarf and specsaver offer nation wide? or limited to nsw?

    • Harris Scarff nationwide but finished

  • Used two cards to buy $100 worth of contact lenses ($50 x 2)

    Got 2 x $25 Amex refunds

And then…I got $100 back from the health fund (100% rebate)

  • The Nando's I went to didn't accept AMEX.

  • Has anyone got any quotes for lenses at specsavers for sunglasses, I went in store today and was quoted from $$169 - $300 for standard lense. $300 for the thinner lenses, that is a bit expensive.

    • That sounds about right. And the "thinner lenses" are probably still only 1.6x ones too, not 1.74. Glasses in this country feel like a complete ripoff at times.

  • Does everyone still have the Specsavers offer in their account if they saved it down? Almost certain I saved it to a couple of cards, as was already planning to buy glasses this month when the offer was launched - bought them yesterday, but offer is now nowhere to be seen in my account (in saved, redeemed or available). If I test it again by trying to manually register, it says "offer no longer available", ie full, even with 35,000 cards available to register, so went pretty quickly.

Or maybe I just failed this time at saving it down…

    • Mine's still there…

  • Anyone in Sydney and has unused specsavers promotion that happy to be shared with? I'm in Eastern suburb area.

    Thank you

if you can wait i will be in sydney on dec 20
