Please put 6GB on the title, it is very important compare with the 3GB version for $236

  • There's cheaper 6gb 1060s

Inno3D is the only cheaper one I can find, but it doesn't have the reputation Asus does.

      • There was a Galax one as well (for ~$315?) but if the Inno is the only cheaper one it must have sold out.

  • This, or a used 960 4gb for 120?

This, a GTX 1060 is comparable to a GTX 980 in terms of performance and is more efficient.

      • Picked up a 780 for $130 instead.

Can get used 970s around the $200 mark which is the best bang for buck possible.

      $120 for a 4gb 960 is a pretty good price also

      • What's the best or cheapest cpu you can pair up with a used 970 so it went bottleneck cpu wise.. Will a i5-2400 do it or would you need something larger like a i5-3470?

I am looking at used refurbished sff prebuilts like optiplex Dell's and others and most seem to have either i5-2400 or i5-3470 or some i5-4730 but these are usually much pricier.

I am guessing a i5-3470 should do but if you can tell me what should be able to handle a 970 at max load or settings I will try to aim for that as it will probably make the most of my investment.

Best bang for buck as always of course prevails.

        Thanks, AlienC.

  • Bought this yesterday, worked out the best of the sales, running at $399 at Umart.

Now I need to find a Intel i5 8400 to go with my E370 board I got, seems they are in short supply?
