Shame they don't do smaller amounts.

    • +6

      Name checks out

    • Yes, it's anti single person.

      • +9

It's blatant discrimination, I'm going to tell the same-sex marriage campaigners.

        • Some same sex partner friends have big families - lots of children from both previous marriages.
I better tell them about this deal, because
it's no use for a loner like me😀

    • +3

Bigger Shame they can't be used in-store

      • -4

You can use e-vouchers in store.

EDIT: just read the actual T&Cs. Looks like you can't

      • +1

Biggest shame to use whole voucher in one transaction

  • +68

Instead of getting the $300 voucher, buy 2 x $150 and get $360 value and you don't have to spend all in one go!

    • WELL PLAYED!

      • Clash Royale?

        Oops

        • Reminds me of Pokemon Go.
Cheaper to buy per 100 coins than in bulk of 550 or 1200 :/ (Go figure)

    • +9

      This guy shops.

      • ……..and calculates well.

    • +3

      good math.

      • +3

        MAN'S NOT HOT.

    • +10

Woolies need to hire marketing people who can do maths

    • U sir have won the ozbargain internet for the day!!

    • -1

actually this is what marketing people wants you to think, now people will buy more $150 voucher twice doubling the sales of it since people will think its more valuable even though some of you might not need it

      • This could be right. If you can only use one voucher per order, and you're the kind of shopper that goes for the free shipping, Woolworths will benefit from you buying the $150 vouchers and shopping twice.

  • Yeah - I've struggled to spend $150 from the coles vouchers.

    • Visa One giftcards?

      • Do they allow you to buy with Woolworths egift cards

Last time I checked it didn't work and got rejected by the POS

        • Yeap bought it last week, not sure whether Wish cards or Woolies giftcards are the same.

        • @nightelves:

          Cool 😎

What is the max value you can buy

        • @easternculture:

Bought 8 Visa one and split it between two egiftcards at self-serve. Is POS (payment online system)? I bought Visa One in-storeif that helps.

        • @nightelves:

Point of Sale - if it's a system locking you from making the purchase the fast lane won't permit it. If it's stuff staff not letting you make the purchase the use of the fast lane will get around that hurdle.

How does payment online system even make sense?

        • @maxwellian: Sorry so does this mean that via self-check out you might be able to use these vouchers to purchase other gift vouchers? Is this a work around?

        • @Pandorumdude:

This is for WW online only so no gift cards (ie you can't use in store)

In general you can use egiftcard to buy Visa1 but staff have to override/approve the system at self check out. That means if you have a few they'll probably check your payment method and then stop you. Town Hall WW also sent me to the register once. All in all not worth the effort

      • +1

The value of the eVoucher cannot be used on Woolworths Flowers, delivery charges and Delivery Saver items, tobacco/smoking products, gift cards, egift cards, mobile recharge, travel cards and tickets.

Cant use credit on gift cards :(

  • -2

can we buy HN gift cards with these ?

    • No, gift cards are excluded.

      • thanks

  • +8

    Too many restriction, pass!!

  • Do these evouchers work the same was as egiftcards?

    • +3

Nope. Says they must be used in one txn. Call them discount vouchers.

  • Alas one can no longer buy alcohol online. Could do prior to August but not from September

    • I'm not sure about this as we had our Woolworths delivery delivered two weekends ago (in October) and it included alcohol that we ordered.

      • Could just be your local woolworths? Mine has never allowed alcohol to be sold online even though they have a BWS inside it.

        • Mine shows alcohol available. I'm in VIC.

        • Had alcohol (wine and beer) delivered in my Woolworths online delivery yesterday. I'm in Perth.

      • Perth boy here as well. Thanks and your spot on. Just checked and can buy alcohol. Eerie… I got the last round of groupon woolworths deal, had 30 September expiry. Prior to an OS trip August 20 could buy alcohol. Upon return and just prior to expiry, could not.

        • So can you still buy alchol now or has this stopped?

        • @bwatt72: Yes back online for Perth

    • not in NT for me

      • +1

Is that you in the photo, you look like you just saw Tightarse?

        • Yea, the stupid system linked my FB profile and I am too lazy to change that

  • Can this be used to purchase tobacco?

    • No.

      • -1

        ;(

        • 😢

      • what about tomacco?

  • +10

    any remaining funds are forfeited

    • +7

      Get The Full Order?

  • +1

Can I use it in store?

    • +1

      No, it's an eVoucher.

  • +3

Was very keen to buy until I read
    - single use only
    - online only
    - expires 31 Dec 17

    This is like a gamble.

    • -3

Yeah it's at best a 20% discount, but they will probably earn 20% or more from people who forget to use them, or forfeit the remaining funds. But what a shortsighted move, selling goodwill & customer loyalty for cash. They'd be better off in the long run if they want cash now + more online sales this year, to sell egift cards at say 8% off, and give a 12% discount when purchasing through woolies online until the end of the year.

  • Looks like they cannot be used instore.

eVouchers can only be redeemed on the Woolworths website.

  • So we can't buy eGift cards with these then use the eGift cards to get other store gift cards?

    • +1

The value of the eVoucher cannot be used on Woolworths Flowers, delivery charges and Delivery Saver items, tobacco/smoking products, gift cards, egift cards, mobile recharge, travel cards and tickets.

    • +1

Don't think so. Says it excludes gift cards, which presumably is what an egift card would be categorized as, if they sold it through the online store.

      • Cheers guys. Pretty much not worth it for me in that case. $150 is a lot for a single grocery spend. I think the wife and I only spend like $50 a trip lol

  • +5

Stack with ebay gift cards bought from Woolies with 5% disc?

  • +2

Cheapskates are shortchanging us $10 for the $300 voucher

  • Because it is single use, could it possibly work like egift cards where if you do an order with things out of stock, then they will send you an online coupon which acts the same as a normal egift card. Although you are taking a risk, because if the item is in stock then that wouldn't work. Guess you would have to check out you local woolies.

    • That's been my previous experience.
It wasn't automatic, but it literally just took me an email to their support.
From memory I got another e-voucher.

    • Actually from the ebay T&C:
"Any refunds for items purchased using eVouchers via woolworths.com.au will be issued as credit for use on woolworths.com.au at a later time."

  • eVouchers cannot be used in-store at Woolworths :(

  • i like how it's an eVoucher but they appear to be delivering it to my house… they haven't heard of email yet?

i also don't get all the bitching & moaning about spending $150-350 in 1 transaction, i got a $350 voucher, free delivery for orders over $300 from woolies online, i'll stock up on all the heavy shit i hate lugging home from the supermarket like 30-packs of soft drink, slabs of beer etc.

  • +5

Thought I’d highlight for anyone who hasn’t had a delivery from Woolworths recently.

They ended the free delivery for $150 spend on Wednesday 4-6 weeks ago.

No fees on click and collect.

Delivery fee if you don’t have a delivery saver
    Up to $149.99 $11.00
    $150.00 to $199.99 $9.00
    $200.00 to $249.99 $6.00
    $250.00 to $299.99 $3.00
    $300.00 and over $0.00

  • Hmm to wait for a sitewide code or bite the bullet with P5OZZIE…

    • Pretty sure you can't use that code for this?

      • +1

Bummer. Other sitewide codes have worked in the past but just tried P5OZZIE and not working.

  • Great for Opal card topup.

EDIT: forget it, evoucher must be used on website.

  • what about spent in online BWS?

    • I have used eVouchers to buy from BWS before ( bought through Groupon ) and the exclusions don't list alcohol so I assume so, will let you know once I receive them.

"The value of the eVoucher cannot be used on Woolworths Flowers, delivery charges and Delivery Saver items, tobacco/smoking products, gift cards, egift cards, mobile recharge, travel cards and tickets."

  • +1

Anyone purchased AND received theirs yet?

I have ordered one because it works out perfectly for my family. However in the past I had to chase up the actual voucher code and it was a lot of hassle. Hoping it doesn’t happen again! Will order a couple more for future shops if all goes well.

    • +1

Purchased but not received. Bit annoyed that the longer they take to send them the less chance of some people using them by the cut off date. Given it realistically is a pretty short end date I'd hope they start sending them out today, but it does say up to 3 business days in the info…

    • My "expected delivery" is showing over a week from date of purchase. Not impressed at all for a bloody voucher code when there's a short time limit on them.

    • yep no sight of it here either.

are they actually posting out a physical voucher?

can only buy them online, can only spend them online, but they seem to be posting a physical code to me??

      • Says they'll email it within 3 days of purchase, still waiting also.

      • That's how it looks to me. I even got a tracking number for ebay. It says it would be sent to my ebay email address, I hope the postie can figure that one out!

        • +1

Last time the tracking number was part of the voucher code. You had to enter a few letters followed by the tracking number into the promo code box on the Woolworths website.

I received an ‘item sent’ email but no voucher yet.

        • +2

Yeh I got the tracking email sent today, but the original offer says the vouchers will be delivered to ebay email address within 3 business days. My tracking email is saying delivery 27th Nov though.

Edit: Just had them delivered to email 2 minutes after posting.

        • @zductiv:

same here - got an email with the code a few hours later… yay!

      • +2

Order placed on Monday 13th Nov, received ebay sent email on Thursday and two hours later received the actual voucher from woolies. The code is the same as the tracking number with the addition of a dash…. EV240-3XXXXXXXX.

        • +1

Same, smart postie obviously able to send to emails now ;)

        • Wait what!! Does this mean you can use the voucher as soon as you order?

        • +1

          @Savas:
I also got my voucher via email on Thursday after ordering on Monday. Make sure you check your ebay email address and not your paypal email address.

        • Still haven't got mine, can you please tell me what the subject of the email was that had the voucher?

Edit found it.. 'Your e-vouchers have arrived'

Black Friday sale….Woolworths online only finish tonight midnight……https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/344394

  • +1

Can you combine this with the free google home mini deal? Seems like good value.

    • No I don't think so, last time they disabled any other coupon. You should check though since they might have changed it this time.

  • +1

Good deal but I don't think I can frugally use $180 worth of Woolworths credit by the expiry date 31 December 2017.

If it was over a year then maybe definitely.
