Worth Waiting for Black Friday / Cyber Monday?

Im looking at spending about $800 on computer parts, (20% ebay sales that end in 2 days)

Cpu
Water cooler
Hardrive

Can anyone share any experiences where its been worth the wait for black friday / cyber monday?

This is part of Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals for 2017

    Are you in a hurry?

    If no, wait.

There will be another eBay sale.

There is no way you will get more than 20% off computer parts. The margins are tiny as it is. If you can find what you are looking for right now on ebay, from retailers that didnt inflate prices, you should buy it now.

    Crystal ball incoming 🔮

    • Ballsack coming.

      Coming.

      Emptied.

      • Classy.

  • Hopefully, Amazon Australia might start by then

  • I am wanting to buy some Nike Metcon shoes, which are $199 and currently Rebel Sport have 20% off with click frenzy. Should I jump on this or risk it and wait and hope there are better or the same deals again for Black Friday?

For Australian retailers it's highly unlikely their BF deals would be better than Click Frenzy, if they even run any offers at all, Black Friday isn't that big here.

  • Exactly the advice i was after. Thanks guys

  • i will wait for gloomy Jan

    • people usually stop spending in January #brokemode lol and that's when they do more sales… But I can't wait, looking forward to this Friday/Cyber Monday sale!

  • Definitely wait. Should be some really great deal around next week with Amazon launching as well on Black Friday.

    • oh yas Amazon! Well tomorrow BingLee eBay has 20%…

  • Merged from When best to buy from eBay? BlackF… CyberM… or wait into December?

I'd been waiting to pull the trigger on a Samsung Note8.

In a fortnight, I'd seen prices creep up from $1310 to $1347 and thence to settle into $1267 as of today.
I guess the current low price is the BlackFriday effect?
So, the low price could continue into CyberMonday (or could CM even better it?)

    What happens after the CyberMonday?
Would the sellers scale the prices back up?

Would it be prudent to wait a fortnight into December to get the best deal this side of the new year?

    All advise welcome.

    • Either buy tomorrow through ebay site wide sale, or wait for amazon to gauge their prices and potential opening specials (also possibly tomorrow). Closer to Christmas they don't usually have the best sales as people are desperate and on a deadline for purchasing (and receiving) in time for Christmas.

      • Thanks; can a custom eBay discount code be stacked with say… a sitewide code?

        • One code only, unless you are talking about a gift card type situation, in which case I'm not sure.

But yeah, between Black Friday and Cyber Monday, that's probably the last* good sales before Christmas. May or may not be relevant to your specific product.

*Excluding Amazon of course, pending on when they open

      My sources say no

If you see a price you are happy to pay, buy it for that.

    • And there you go, very good price from harvey norman of all places.

I am in the same boat, was hugely disappointed with black Friday/Cyber Monday

All these Australian stores had one last chance to boost there dwindling customer base …. and they wasted it
Now I wish them luck as I plan to get 100% future purchasing through Amazon - No sympathy for any of them that go under!
( I am waiting for "closing down" or " bankruptcy auctions"/"liquidation sale" )

Now on the hunt for discounted 1080ti, Monitor,
