How do you do it?
I've tried grilling bacon/meat but it seems to make a mess every time, oil/fat will drip from the top plate when you open it up and drop onto the coil wire thing which is impossible to clean.
Cooking pancakes, on the other hand, is a piece of.. cake?
On the other hand cooking cake will turn to.. pancake.
Shortcut bacon. And a folded up paper towel behind the machine for the oil to drip on to.

Plus electricity to use it.

Ridges are only on the top plate also, so relatively easy to clean.

i do , i just use it as a pan for meat , but if i want a true grill i wait till its done , unplug and clean with a damp paper towel when its warm still
Yep, use it for a weekend brekky fry up. Cleans easy!
sometimes i try cleaning with paper towel but it leaves bits of paper which is annoying :(
