You can't
Yeah it is, you just gotta be very careful that you have the right one (Because the electrical connection is actually different on different V6 models).
The DC58 connection matches the V6 Cordfree connection, so anything that is for the V6 cordfree will work.

Can you attach a wand to DC58?
I remember doing a 5 minute search when i first got mine, and I think that you can if you pair the spare wand & head (found on a UK parts site). "Not designed to use" may not necessarily mean it won't work… DC58 still has electric head connectors, etc.

I bought one two months ago and suggest people not to buy this model. The barrel is very hard to clean. Its suction is good but the cleaning of the barrel has been very annoying.
It looks the same with v6 and even the v7, the only one with different barrel is v8 and it's much much more expensive. I agree it's the pain in the *** to clean.
