Got a Harvey Norman "amazing deals" catalogue in the junk mail today. Decent price. The symbols at the end of the product description mean: colours may vary between stores and available online and in selected stores. I assume that means all colours for this price if in stock.

Spewing cos I purchased one for $449 from HN last week! Thankfully used gift cards obtained through amex deals so the pain is not so bad. Update: For anyone wondering I managed to get the difference refunded this morning using online chat (reference their 7 day price guarantee).

There's also some other stuff in the catalogue that looks like decent pricing, but not best ever like ue boom 2 @ $147. Google wifi $388.

    Good question. I went there and grab the catalogue, ask staff to buy the iPad, she did mention the price was original in their system. But considering I hold the catalogue which she can find anywhere in the store, she believed it's system delay and change the price to $398 manually for me.

      Latest catalogue…I went to shop and find it anywhere in the store. You can ask staff for the latest one. It may not start yet, say from tomorrow, and HN near my place had the catalogue in store already.

    Guys I managed to pick one up this afternoon as well. Looked at the national catalogue(s) with the HN guy to understand why he didn't know about it today, and according to him somebody(s) accidentally dropped the catalogues early. Staff were wondering why they'd received big quantities of these: HN head office knows this will be popular.

Finding that $2-5 item is harder than you think if you want to take the order just over $400. Many stores do not have stock of the filler item, if you are doing a C&C. Maybe start searching for that item today. The email from AMEX arrives as soon as you pay but says "If your transaction meets the offer terms, your $100.00 credit should appear on your statement within 5 business days (however it can take up to 90 days from the offer end date)" so there may be some checking happening.

Said no probs, I then asked him to round it up to $400. Done.

The website is still showing $469 for iPad 32Gb, however, when you add a gold one, it shows $60 saving sign, but price doesn't change!

Other color does not give the saving sign, but show $469 too.

Hmm ordered at 8:30am this morning via their online store and added in Dishonoured 2 for $19 to make it over $400 and received email from Harvey Norman saying that my order is "being reviewed". Nothing from AMEX either as it is still a pending transaction. Anyone else receive a similar 'order is being reviewed' email from Harvey Norman?

However, the transaction is still listed as 'pending' when I check my American Express account online so that could explain why I haven't received any notification but people on here are saying they received the notification straight away so I'm concerned that I might not get my cashback.

  Picked up my iPad but still waiting for a memory card on back order.
  No tax invoice sent to me yet.

    Well that makes me feel better that I'm at least not the only one. I did speak to AMEX on chat and they did say that sometimes the email doesn't get sent out and that the cashback should hit when it actually hits the account as a 'recent transaction' as opposed to pending. I'll check again tomorrow.

I got the hard sell on extended warranty, it seemed like they weren’t going to take no for an answer.
Found a $2 Garmin charger in the clearance bin.
Got the American Express email on the way out.

Avoid HN liverpool - what an idiot.

Buying 2 ipad , was told no split payment on amex, 1 transaction can only pay with 1 amex. Ok thats fine. I said: we do 2 transactions then, so 2 invoices. They refused ! Reason: can only use 1 amex card for the rest transactions. What the hell - I refused to buy. They lose $800 sales
