  • The south wharf store normally has some decent stock. I've got some absolute bargains there before e.g. Nike SB Janoskis for$29.

    • +2

I went to the Uni Hill and it was rubbish

      • +3

Haven't been to south wharf for a while but whenever I go to Uni Hill there is nothing but ugly crap.

        • -1

Last time I went to South Wharf it was getting raided by internationals and there wasn't even any sale signage. Good luck all.

      • Varies from store to store.

  • +6

Obligatory RIP Smith St Nike Outlet

    • +3

Yeah I miss the days of Smith Street. That back wall used to actually have good stuff. Had a buddy who worked there and would put new stock aside for me and then I'd jump on a tram during work

      • +1

got pairs of ultramarine 180s $50 and black cement jordan 3s for $80 wish i could go back and stock up lol

        • +1

Black Cement 3's for $80 😯 You the real MVP

  • Its only shoes or storewide?

    • It doesnt say shoes just says 40% off so i'd say storewide bar exclusions.

  • +1

Bought a pair of current metcon dsx from uni hills the other for $102…Still selling on NDC for $240 :D

  • +1

I picked up a nice pair of Air Max for my son last week at Jindalee DFO (Brisbane).
    $50 down to $30.

  • sorry a bit of a dumb qn,but what does it mean when it says 40% off the lowest ticketed price? so just 40% off whatever is advertised on the ticket anyway?

    • +1

some might have 2 prices because it has already been discounted, so it would be 40% off the lowest price on the item

    • +2

Yeah. So 40% off the already discounted price. I.e $150 shoes marked down to $100. Would now be $60.

      • Exactly.

  • nice

  • +2

    So. Many. Shoe. Deals

  • +6

Dammit OP! Now I have to cancel my lunch meet up with a friend for this! haha! Thanks! :D

    • +9

That's the way, Bargains before bros

      • +2

lol!! I actually cancelled my lunch meet up to go. Mate was not happy, but hey, I offered for him to come with me. His loss @ 40% off Nike!!!!!

        • Was there anything good there?

  • -4

factory outlet Nike products are actually damaged products the real store sends back to warehouse for resale

    • +1

And obviously they are deemed not so damaged that they are bound for the bin. The discounted prices obviously reflect this and they also sell last seasons stock and ending lines.

    • I don't know how true this is, I've seen the odd damaged item with a special tag but haven't noticed many.

I find it's just packed with run offs, samples and oddly coloured items. Most of the good stuff is in extreme sizes.

    • Rubbish. It's overstock, and everything carries the same warranty as new.

  • damn none in perth

  • No love for Adelaide. :(

  • DFO south wharf closes at 9pm friday, think all the good deals will be gone by then? Damn work's got me busy until 5pm =P

  • Harbourtown Gold coast is kind of low on variety of men's apparel. Has some good deals on shoes like zoom domination for $80 or so, zoom fly for $110. Last pairs has mostly wierd stuff, like a lot of this moccasin looking shoe lot's of blue and purple zoom albi's. When they do a blanket 40% they seem to reduce sticker prices, which helps.

    • i think they send the crap no one wants there honselty

  • feelsbadman just bought a new pair from the birkenhead point store last thursday…

  • Im going today to sus out the items I potentially want. Called the Sydney Auburn store and they said to come tomorrow cause the good stuff will be gone. Weekends, she said people will wait up to 1 hour from her past experience.

  • Just came in today and realised it is tomorrow

    • same, i feel stupid now haha

    • same lol, luckily I bought a pair of shoes that were actually 50% off today but will only be 40% off tomorrow. wasn't a total waste of a trip.

      • Same!!!!

  • do they also stock Jordans ?

    • +1

There are normally some jordans at the Brisbane DFO, but they are the stlye/sizes that didn't sell well on the nike website. There has been a few 9's low and retro 10's at the bris airport store. Last time I went (6wks ago) they had two styles of 6's (black cat and chameleon), but sizes were limited. The 6's were $220, so 40% off would make them $132.

It is worth a look, but dont expect to find any that sold out online (e.g. pure money 4's).

      Good luck!

  • Does anyone from Sydney knows which store has more stock/variety between Auburn or Birkenhead Point?

    • +2

Check out the pics from Google, might give you an idea of Auburn
      https://www.google.com.au/maps/uv?hl=en&pb=!1s0x6b12a3537089…

      I've been to Auburn today to sus out the stock in men's though. From my observation;
      - The back wall has all the sales with the shoes, sorted in size. But there's usually 1 size only in your favoured style, rarely saw two styles the same. Hopefully when I get in-store tomorrow, the shoes I want is still there.
      - The shoes that are full priced only had approx 3 to 4 of X size in stock for that style show. For example shoe 1 would have size 10 x 3 instock and size 9 x 4 in stock
      - Shirts and Shorts were abundant, but again like shoes: only 2 to 4 of X size of each style in stock.

I also spoke to one of the reps who obviously knew about it, but due to policy they couldn't tell me anything about stock etc. The rep was helpful and the rep was doing his/her hardest to help me. All they said, come in tomorrow asap to get your stuff. Most likely if you come in the afternoon, friday or weekend, all the good stuff is gone.

So I will be lining up tomorrow at auburn around 9:30am, they open @ 10am

      • +1

        Anything to report?

        • +2

They restocked everything today when I sussed them out yesterday which was nice to see.

          • @10am today, in the Auburn store, approx 40 maybe 50+ people went through the door @ opening.
          • Everyone pretty much flocked to the shoes (as expected)
          • Alot of people purchased 2 pairs of shoes or more
          • The majority of the store is shoes and clothing, if you're looking accessories such as knee pads, cups etc, I am pretty sure I saw some but don't expect a huge range.
          • More and more people kept coming in, the store was busy, approx 1030am when I paid and left, the cashier said this is the "quiet" moment. The "clam before the storm". And I was like: "OMG".
          • Rep also advised they didn't get abundant stock to refill what's sold, it is what it is. If your size isn't there, Rep advised be nice and ask if there is your size in the style you want in the back room (I don't know if this applies to all reps).

          I suggest;
          - You go ASAP, go NOW if you can lol
          - Rep advised if you go Friday or the weekend, most of the stock is gone
          - Common sizes will go asap as well, hence that's why I took a sickie from work. I am a size US 10 Shoe and S for clothing

        • @hasher22: thanks for your info, ends up going to birkenhead point yesterday, just usual stuff, didn't buy anything. Will try auburn next time.

        • @Jackfruit:
I went again today around 11:30am, my brother loved my shoes so much, he wanted a pair. So I got him a pair, the line was crazy to check out, took me approx 30 minutes to check out.

          Updated
          - From what I see, shoe stock was replenished. There were lots of sizes still in-stock for a lot of the shoes
          - Peak hour is lunch time from what I heard from reps. Around noon to 3pm is where it gets most busy to check out and it's quite hot and cramped
          - Do not rock up 30 to 45 minutes before closing! I had to exchange an item last night, and I walked out the store around 8:30pm and two reps were shoo'ing away customers! Took me 45 minutes to check out!

If you can, go @ opening time. That's my only suggestion.

  • does this include full price items or just the ones on sale

  • +6

About 30 people waiting for Auburn outlet to open in 5 mins

    • What was the stock like? Think it would be worth going in after 4pm?

      • I would go to check stock things out, it's worth it I recon. Everyone has different taste, so you might find something you like. Plus 40% is massive.

      • Yeah worth it, they were restocking throughout the day and even when I first got in, some sizes were out the back.

        • Cool. Cheers guys. I will check it out. I just need a couple of tees for gym thats all

  • so anything good at southwharf?

    basketball/running stuff

    • lots of sports and activewear stuff

      • Is there a big q in south wharf? Would it be worth going on my lunch?

    • Was there around 12pm and the line was maybe 10mins long to get in. The wait to pay would have been about 30-45min wait. But we'll worth it in my opinion.

  • -1

Meh so much ugly stuff like Paulswarehouse, nothing to look at move along.

  • Coming up to an hour waiting in line to buy a pair of shoes at Uni Hill…they better be good!
Ended up being 80 minutes in the line and it was half the length compared to when I eventually left.

  • +1

Just left the Auburn store. Spent about 30-40 minutes in line.

    • Damn! Guess it pays to go there @ opening time. I got my stuff in the morning, paid and ran out lol.

The rep was right, up to 1 hour wait time

      • +1

Absolutely worth going in as early as possible. You get the most choice of stock and you can get out early. Plus you don't have the lunch time working crowd (like me) coming in in the afternoon. On top of all of that it was uncomfortably hot in there.

I got a pair of soccer socks and shin pads for $9 though…worth.

        • +1

Haha yeah mate, I was the guy right behind you. I noticed you holding the $5 dollar shinpads and thought to myself, damn he must be an ozbargainer to line up for that!

        • +1

@fuzionbear: Haha. I'd be lying if I said I only stuck around because my work friend was buying shoes.

  • They card scanners went out at Birkenhead, so cash only for a while.

    • Same with DFO South Wharf in Melbourne! Picked up Stefan Janoski Max B/W Mesh for $63.

  • I need a new everything. What should I target first? I figured shoes since there'd be the least amount of stock of suitable size. Then again I'm a UK 12 so it's just me and the other giants fighting it out.

    • I'd go for shoes first! When I went in the morning, there was quite a few people looking at sizes US 12+. And for the common folk like me, everyone was around the Size US 10

      • Cool. Thought so. I asked a rep who wasn't so sure.

  • +1

Thanks for the deal, picked up 3 pairs of shoes (free run distance 2 $54 free run 2017 $60 and one for the girlfriend Nike free TR 6 $60) all in good sizes!. Shame about the eftpos machines stuffing up. A lot of customers got shafted after waiting in the queue to pay for over an hour, only to be told cash only and moved to the side. I was lucky the cashier put my stuff aside and let me run to an atm and return.

  • Does anybody know if the DFO Southwharf is still having card problems - I'll take out some cash before I go, if so.

    • I just called up and the machines are working again

  • Where can I sign up for similar future deals?

  • Hows Auburn doing with the line?

I need to exchange an item, but thinking of showing up around 8 to 830 tonight. I can't be bothered waiting up to 30 minutes in line. lol

  • +1

I went there at lunch time, saw the queue and walked away… Ridiculous. Adidas next door were also having a 40%off sale and no queue, so they got my business!

    • swoosh vs stripes… pick a side… :D

      • Yeah… my side is more like « it’s cheap enough and it fits » :)

    • I'll be back for Adidas when my clothes shopping coma subsides.

  • Dunno if mentioned previously, but if you buy something and fill out a survey online, you can stack another 10% off with a code that apparently takes 24-48 hours to come through. Might still make the 4 day 40% off sale if you buy soon and return before closing time Sunday.

  • The line at DFO south wharf yesterday was insane at 2pm. I didn't even bother. Adidas has significantly shorter line (same discount 40%)
