Tempted but I am expecting prices to drop a little more before Christmas..

    • They should go eol in may-july. Thats when the bigger discounts should happen.

Fun fact: if u were spending $3,839.20 on a TV I’d wait two days for Amazon to start trading first.

    • Are we really thinking Amazon AU is going to be that much cheaper??

      • +1

If potentially spending $3,839.20 on an item I’d certainly wait and find out

      • They probably will be cheaper when starting off until they kill off eBay then charge massive prices.

        • Nah Amazon's main motive for online sales is not actually for profits from selling. It's main target is actually creating a marketplace and platform for sellers and buyers to use. So Amazon will always keep prices low, even when the competition gets killed off.

A new dawn has come for Australian retail :D

  • Hope they make this is in 77”

    • They do for $30k or something silly

  • Bah. Just bought this for 4100 at JB. When I looked, Bing Lee was click and collect only on the listing, so figured I wouldn't be able to snag it at 20%

    • You managed to haggle down to $4,100 at JB?

      • 4120 + 45 delivery, then used gift cards to bring it to 3915. But it still stings a bit to see it at this price delivered a week later!

        • That's still not bad, I think anything under 4k is decent

Any chance you could upload a copy of your receipt? I have a bunch of AMEX cards with the Harvey Norman offer saved and was thinking of going there this weekend. Would be super helpful if I could show them that price from JB and see if they would price match

        • @krazek:
Unless your harvey norman is any different or is under instruction to be super nice due to Amazon, they won't price match a 'haggled' price. They check online and then give you their price (which I believe was cheaper than jb.)

… I'll upload once I get to work so you can give it a shot.

        • Hey mate, appreciate it but dont worry about the receipt. Ill just wing it :)

OP, price is dropped from BingLee to $4488 before discount and after 20% off come down to $3590.40.
    (They remove the delivery…pickup only)

For someone who still waiting, FYI
Checked with Amazon price in US, converting the price in AU exchange rate, which is similar price.

The good guys ebay also dropped the price $499 less, as long as TGG have their price drop policy, I hardly believe they will drop any further for boxing day sales.
Maybe next year Feb will be another go. I predict.

Shows delivery $40 for Sydney. Maybe you need to choose location first?

  • About to bite the bullet and pick this up, just waiting another day to see if amazon is going to make any significant changes.

  • Already bought a TCL off Bing Lee with the poweron code. Tried price matching all the major retailers, they couldn't come down that cheap.
I can't for the life of me understand why someone would spend so much on a TV when they only do the bare legally required 1 year warranty.
I don't support companies that make unreliable and unlasting products

  • Has anyone else had issues applying the POWERON redemption code to this item on eBay?

  • now shows up as 'stock is almost gone' and pick up only.

  • Well I have to say Paypal are useless, this promotion is only available using Paypal for purchase and Paypal blocked my transaction on 2 different Paypal accounts. Talking to Paypal support and a supervisor, the transaction was blocked as a "risk" and they basically said it's internal security measures likely due to the purchase price/dollar value which they have no override for. I've been a customer with Paypal for years and make regular smaller transactions, I have to say not impressed with Paypal, not sure if any others will or have run into this.

    • lol I had the same thing 2 months ago trying to buy this exact TV from Good Guys for $4k.
