  • Apparently the S6 will be getting Oreo so gonna hang to my S6 Egde+ for a while :-o

once you have a 1080p screen the driver to upgrade seems to diminish to OS support stopping and you want latest OS or battery life has diminished over time ….. unless there is something in a current flagship phone and you have a spare $900.

it’s a lot of phone for $350 australian stock and has band 28 ……

mediatek vs snapdragon …. ford vs holden ……. they just work and i’ve owned both and didn’t care as it’s about the OS.

only other australiian stock in this price range with these features would be moto.

  • Is it dual SIM?

    • Says Nano sim so nah

Pretty avg specs specially helip p10 and 3 gig of RAM. 2 yes back , my Huawei p8 had those specs.

  • Be amazing if they get sale on the U11

  • +5

Release the U11+ in Australia, dammit!

  • better off with HTC U Ultra for just 499 from HarveyNorman plus Amex 100 credit if you have one, so, 399 for a snapdragon 821 instead of this

3000mAh vs 4000mAh. Doesn't everyone like a phone with great battery life?

    • this has the battery win though by far. And a headphone jack.
x10 has the metal build vs u ultras glass.

JB Hifi is selling for $399. If HN price matches then with Amex offer it can be $299.

    • Yep definitely $399 now at JB ($299 with AMEX offer)

      https://www.jbhifi.com.au/phones/Outright-Mobile-Handsets/ht…

      • There's a JB Amex offer???

        • Ignore comment.. I re-read and understand now. Is there a way to delete comments??

  • Only thing good about this is the battery, rest are either average or rubbish.

    • Are you forgetting this is $349? Don't say something like oh my flagship phone 2 years ago had better specs.
This is a midranger. And certainly more well priced than half of the androids (I'm looking at you Samsung…)

  • I have one through 3 of these phones under warranty: 1st = wouldn't update software; 2nd - people calling me would get an echo ; 3rd time - sd card kept " dismounting ". Shame because I really liked the phone, when they worked. Usb C was half the reason I bought that over Galaxy S7.

People calling me would get an echo

      Interesting grounds for replacement.

      • Absolutely ! If it's still under warranty take it back.

        • if it's still under warranty take it back

This works great for most of the time but in this case your replacement was actually worse - dismounting SD card? Actually that depends, you could always format it or just go without one.

  • double post.

Not a great deal, better off going for the HTC U Ultra 64 for $399 at JB Hifi.

$49 more for a better CPU, more RAM (4GB compared to 3GB), double the storage (64GB compared to 32GB). Another thing to note is the camera on the U Ultra has optical image stabilizer & Laser autofocus neither of which are on the One X10. The U Ultra receives Wireless AC for faster wi-fi networking. The U Ultra has USB-C for fast charging whereas the One X10 still uses MicroUSB. It's a massive step up in terms of featureset.

Also available in Sapphire Blue or Cosmetic Pink

Edit: Just registered for the HTC Club they want $100 more for the U Ultra there! ($499 at HTC club or $399 at JB)

    • It's $499 at JB

      • It was $399 over the weekend, check the Google cache which still has it at $399

I missed out, maybe it was black friday sale, oh well, i'll probably just wait for the U11 to drop down in price in few months time, my M8 still going strong :)
