Can someone advise if Neverware ChromeOS will run on this?

  • This one cones comes with a M2 slot

Seems like a good laptop for the price though - 6gb ram, 64gb emmc, 13.3" FHD screen, minimal bezels but its that SSD expansion ability that really makes it a great viable option. That is, if you can cope with the Celeron which maxes out at 2.2GHz. It is a quad core though to its benefit.

    • Bought two for the family. Its better and thinner than anything locally available as most just above this price range have an atom and 2gb/4gb ram.

its even better value than say, a Lenovo Yoga 300… or even the Kogan Atlas, etc

      • it's even better value than say, a Lenovo Yoga 300.

That's very weird you compare the Yoga 300 as it has a better Pentium processor, more storage and has the flexibility of a 2 in 1 compared to this. They aren"t really in the same league.

I agree about the Kogan Atlas though, it's $349 for a bit faster processor, a bit less weight, but 2GB less ram.

        • Yes but the N3540 is 2yrs older and underperforms in every way compared to the N3450 despite a better title and Ghz on paper:
          http://www.cpu-monkey.com/en/compare_cpu-intel_pentium_n3540…

I bought mine from Gearbest flash sales for Aud$285. But at this price delivered makes it one of the best bang for buck with an additional m2 ssd to be added after and still keeping the system under $350 all up.

Despite being upgradeable to 8gb ram, it comes with 4gb and the ezbook comes with 6gb non upgradeable.

As for the 2in1 design, yes probably not comparable there in isnpurely design preference, however the CHUWI 2in1 detachables with the n3450 for comparison sake are also better buy than the yoga 300

        • @RB260483: N3540 N3450 N3540 N3450 N3540 N3450

Not sure if it's just me in my tired state but I'm just about going dotty discerning them.

Obviously Chinese brands (largely unknown to the public) are a better buy than a major company like Lenovo as you pay for the brand as well. Don't just ride off a 2 in 1 as a design preference to a standard clam shell laptop; it introduces a whole new way of using your laptop.

  • how would this go as a travel laptop, watching movies, viewing maps etc

    • This kind of spec is perfect for travelling BC the manufacturers can pack it into a nice thin light overall body. Don't expect to play games but plenty enough for browser based usage. Don't expect great video on the webcam for skyping tho.

    • I am also looking for one for travelling for light duty. Was looking at Lenovo 120S. Similarly specced but $50 more for local stock and warranty from JB.

  • Whelp, I'm in!

  • English windows?

    • Comes with English Windows Home edition.

  • Any warranty on this?

    • You'll have to send it back to the store.

  • Coming up as USD $ 218.99 for me. How do you get it to $208.04 ?

    • Email LITB rep. He might be able to do it for the same price.
