Wouldn’t this put a hole in your pocket?

Hence the "multifunctional" part. Its summer now so it helps aerate your crotch.

For some of us 67c isn't that much money.

      • +1

        Your trousers worth much more.

  • I don't need it!

  • Could be useful one, ordered and thanks.

    • Buys on the basis

      Could be useful one day

      Clears out garage years later

This is the tool I got from zapals years ago! Might come in handy still. Puts it back on shelf

      Moves out many years later

I wonder how much this would sell for? But if I sell it, I might need it!

Ends up with all this unnecessary junk.

My car is keyless, my house has an electronic lock, my work uses an rfid card…. basically, I have no old school keys any more. I still bought one of these. I think I need an intervention… ;-)

      Mailbox?

    • +1

You are in luck. From the video shown on the product page, it comes with a key! Problem solved.

Thank god. I was finding it hard to clean my ear with the office swipe card.

        • What about the key to your rocket?

        • @arcticmonkey: I use a google home for that. Hey google, open pod bay door OK, starting coffee machine no you stupid machine, I said OPEN THE DOOR According to Wikipedia, The Doors were a band who… Arrrgh…

        • @PlasticSpaceman: Don't forget as soon as you wake up: The weather will be 35 degrees today, so I made you an ice coffee instead.

  • How do the tweezers work?

    • Move the key out of the way and push the sides together.

      • Materials mustn't be that strong anyway if fingers can press the tweezer tips together. But at 67 cents, I got one.

Looks like a lousy bottle opener, you'd have to pull up with the keys and probably stretch the key ring as the cutter and screwdriver pieces are right where you would need to pull up with force on the bottle cap.

    Missing phillip head though

  • May not need it but bought one anyway :D

  • +1

Ill stick to my $1 everyday Ebay one that won't shred my pocket.

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Bottle-Opener-With-Key-Ring-Chai…

  • The key is not to get it lodged in yur hip.
Still, then you won't need pants pockets.

    ;^/

    The metal cards are better

"One per customer. 50 cents might be only 5% of the postage, but it is a way to avoid fake registrants and fair to all customers"

Oh the irony. Company selling a cheap rip-off of the patented True Utility (brand) KeyTool product wants to drive fairness.

  • I had one of these, but it was taken by airport security in Sydney. Dont think I ever got to use it before they took it.

    • +1

Did they take it from your keyring or was it loose in your pocket?

      • +1

It was on my keyring, on a key. They scanned it twice in the x-ray, then physically inspected it. He said "we have to take it, because of the blade". One of the tools is technically a blade, but im pretty sure i could do more damage with a large key.

        • Damn, that's a shocker

        • so you left the keys in your carry on bag or was it in your pocket?

Would it have gotten through, if you carry it with you and put it through the little container that they give you?

        • @pinkybrain: It was in my pocket, until I get to the xray machines, then i put it in the box as required. The only way it would've got through would be checked luggage, which is not really an option.

        • @ad62623:
What if it was inside the carry on bag and it went through the xray?

So when they saw it inside the box after it came through the x-ray was how they caught you?

I think if it was collapse with a bunch of other keys it might not be so noticeable..
and even less if it was inside a carry on bag

        • @pinkybrain:
I dont think being in a bag makes any difference to an xray, i assume they saw some strange looking keys and decided to investigate. I dont really know. It was on my keyring with car keys, and maybe 3-4 other house keys.

Dont think I ever got to use it

      Thank god for that!

    • +2

What the hell did they think you were going to do with it? Overpower the cabin crew by filing their nails???
The key that it was attached to was probably just as dangerous.

    I use this guy: https://www.amazon.com/Swiss-Tech-ST66676-Polished-Multitool…

    Swiss+Tech Utili-Key 6-in-1 Multi-Tool with:

    Flat Screwdriver
    Phillips Screwdriver
    Micro-Sized Screwdriver
    Straight Blade Knife
    Serrated Blade Knife
    Bottle Opener

I use it remarkably regularly and it is no more weight/size than having an extra key on your keyring. I use the knife to open boxes every day, the screwdriver on occasion…… and the bottle opener several times an evening :-)

    • Mine was confiscated at the airport on the way back, should have used it to hijack my plane

      • Did they take it from your keyring or was it loose in your pocket?

  • +1

Hardly constitutes a bargain when they can be brought from the usual price of USD$0.66 at AE

  • Checks paypal balance…
    $0.00 thx ozbargain

  • I have had one of these on my keying for a couple of years and love it. Great for situations where you would normally use your key to slice or screw something, without the threat of breaking your key. Bottle opener works well too. Just bought another one on this deal.

  • looks quite sharp
