One of the best av around. Much better than ESET and $2 dollars cheaper!

    • I agree. I used to have McAfee and this is MUCH better.

McAfee is like an old lady in AV world. It's slow and very expensive!

    • can you elaborate why this is much better than ESET?

      • +1

I don't have the figure to show but we have installed several AV for testing on work network in the last 3 months. Bitdefender has the smaller footprint and much easier to config. It has central scanning which is very useful for older PCs. It works extremely well in the virtual environment. Also, it's cheaper to run. Purchased work license from www.corporatetoday.com.au as they provide local technical support and more importantly, the lowest price for the business license in the market. Good luck.

I have a lot of clients and some of them use BD or ESET. In my point of view and following my personal experience with these products, ESET is a better solution. But, these both product are much above the average, so it is in your hands.

        • +1

I should mention that we only use business products and we have 5000 endpoints with 700 virtual services. Kaspersky and ESET were tested in the final round along with BD. Kaspersky was a bit more expensive because they charged extra for virtual license. ESET is good in smaller network environment, maybe less than 1000 endpoints.

By the way, Trend used 2.5GB memory whereas BD are using 200k. Trend and Sophos charge extra for central scaning and ransomware protection. DB has them all included in the same pricing as standard endpoints licensing.

        • @Torres: Cool, good to know. I currently use ESET. Really like the firewall part of it. does BD have similar firewall features?

        • @rexii2300:

sorry bro, we don't use the firewall features.

  • so been about 30m now, no email. Do I have to wait 24hrs? Did op actually get code before posting?

    • Yes. Mine took about a day to come. I thought it was fake at first too.

Also, the website says it will take up to 24 hours due to technical issues. Just noticed that now. I'll update the post.

  • Give your email to a Czech unsecured website for free security??????

    • Who cares, I used rubbish email anyway.

    • +1

Use spam catcher email and it hardly matters.

Do be cautious of any further download or signup links though. Usual rules, never follow an untrustworthy emails download link, get it direct from main website.

    • disposable email m8

  • I used one of my cheap hotmail accounts for such use

The translation I found after entering email is:

You will receive an email within 24 hours
with instructions and licenses for Bitdefender

    • Thanks, I updated the post.

  • Nice deal for PC users lol :)

  • That page looks so doggy :)

      Who's a good site!

  • Easy profit for anyone that sells the keys on G2A.

  • I paying $24.98 a year for it. Can I do this and add it on for free?

  • Seems like this promotion was over as of yesterday?
This will give you 90 days immediately if you're too lazy to wait: https://www.bitdefender.com/site/Facebook/redFreeDownload

    • the link says 6 months but the email they send you says 3 months…will try it tonight and see which is right.

  • +1

can anyone access the website now? I'm just isn't loading

  • +1

From memory you can't stack this right? You need to wait until current subscription is about to expire before adding to your account?

  • +1

Fun fact! You can stack the 90 days, but not if it's to the same email as your account for BD. If you get a code to a different email address via their normal link, and then follow the link from the second email address through and sign in with your regular email, you can add the 90 days to your regular account. It seems like a massive oversight on their part.

    • +1

So several emails = more than a year?

      • Sorry should have clarified. Can’t stack multiple but you can extend your current.

    • Activation code
This code is a promotional code and can't be used to extend your current subscription

      doesnt work

      • Hmmm worked to extend mine every time I tried.

  • got F-secure yesterday for 1 year free

  • I've been check their AU site, turn out they do promote on EU site …
