Watchuseek Review

Eco-Drive means the watch is solar powered, it has a rechargeable battery.
Reports from members in previous deals say that the rechargeable battery is still working in their older eco-drives after 10 years or more.

I have this watch and its great BUT there is also one with a stainless bracelet ….. always seems to be sold out or rrp ……

    • Can you confirm the diameter and strap width please?

12mm is very thin for a dive watch

        • This is a eco-drive quartz movement, so it doesn't need to be thicker.

The Casio MDV106-1AV is the same thickness and the legendary Seiko SKX models with an auto movement are 13mm.
Invicta Pro-Divers (Seiko Auto) are 13mm.

      • not sure about answer below. strap width is 20mm, diameter is 42mm.

  • Hey, thanks for posting. How does this compare to the invicta divers which were about half the price?

    • +1

well citizen is a recognised brand, invicta is… something

this is ecodrive so its solar… you may need a battery after 5yrs plus

proper 200m but only mineral glass

      • +1

my eco drive has been going 15 years … yet to replace the battery.

        • I got 24 years out of my Seiko Kinetic battery.

      • 7 years and counting

    • +1

quartz vs auto …. your need both …… auto to show the sweeping hand and look cool, quarts because it's accurate and doesn't stop and if you didn't wear the auto and it stopped and you need a watch in hurry and can't be bothered setting the time.

  • it's

CITIZEN PROMASTER GLOBAL MARINE BN0156-56E Standard Diver

    https://www.ebay.com.au/i/362136056581?chn=ps

I can buy the band as a as a spare part for $160 on it's own and from amazon OEM many won't ship the band to australia.

ideal would be watch and band as origional deal…. often sold ouit or RRP but never a deal with the stainless band.

have too many invictas, have the citizen with rubber bracelet (not good under business shirt cuffs), with stainless would be my next watch.

    • The SS Bracelet version has been added to the deal for $249.00 shipped.

      • thanks bought one with stainless band ….. now I have the blue face with rubber strap, and black face with stainless strap.

now to see if PayPal express checkout worked.

  • If you're looking for a diver. Also look at the Seiko SKX 007 normally around this price always and also the orient mako ii .

Both are amazing watches which I believe are both on eBay for cheaper using the 5% off store wide coupon.

That's if you don't care about this watches solar power.

    • It's always good to back up comments like that with links to the cheaper prices?

I love dive watches, so agree that the Seiko SKX models & Orients should be considered also.
They are automatic watches, so both have good & bad points.

    • im buying this so i don't have to wear my SKX. Sick and tired of it not keeping time (-15s/day)

  • What is the difference between this and the BN0150-28E? Is it just the model number indicating regions?

If this has blue lume like the BN0151-09L then it is so so sexy >> lume shot here

Hi there. Same watch. Citizen use different codes sometimes for different markets so they can track their stock sales better. Thanks

I get so hard when I see WatchNerd post Eco-Drive deals.

    • Lol TMI dude!!!

    • +2

I go even harder when I see you posting percentage discounts.

  • I was chasing the blue version of this :) Lucky it's not available so I get to save my money haha

I would give anything for Citizen to bring back their midsize divers. For example the NY2300. The only ones that are up for grabs are frankenwatches from PHP :(

Thanks for the post though. Great to see some watch sales around this time. If a Seiko SKX013 deal pops up I am auto-buying :D

Seiko deals are hard to come by. eBay with a discount code is probably your best bet.

Yes, mid size dive watches at a great price are a challenge. My son is now 11, and does a lot of water sports (swimming, water polo, junior surf training), I'd like to get him a dive watch with a lock down crown, womens are too small and mens is too big.
