Man you're an absolute legend! I just sold my receiver on eBay and now this deal comes up! I have been eyeing this receiver for the last two months trying to get it for this very same price but failed every time to bargain anyone at JB or its competitors down. It looks as though the stars have finally aligned for me - ordered faster than a toupee in a hurricane! Thanks OP! Also worth noting that this receiver now supports Dolby Vision thanks to a recent firmware release by Sony. Cheers.

    • I am in the same boat
My Yamaha finally blew last week and the reapir cost was 400$.
This one came at the right time.
      I too ordered in a flash…
      Enjoy

      • Hey mate did you end up using the 5% off code as well? I ordered so fast that I didn't see the 5% store wide deal till after. Missed out on a extra $50 saving oh well still stoked about the price.

        • Me didnt either. Damn….

        • @Bippz01:hey mate I just received an email fro. JB saying that delivery will be delayed to the 10th of January which is when they expect to receive stock from their supplier. Did you get the same delay notification? Annoyed as my local JB has them in stock

        • @merajaan:
          Same here.
          Its frustrating.
I dont feel like waiting but dont feel like cancelling either.
I havent found any local stock in Brisbane.

If I get a better deal around Boxing Day then I sill cancel this one.
          Cheers.

        • @Bippz01: Yeah it's a shame especially considering we pretty much ordered the moment the deal was published on their site. Videopro is adverting them as in stock on their website but they are listing them for $1100. Their retail stores however have no stock otherwise I could've potentially got them to match JB's price

Crappy how OEM's display power these days.

    165W (6ohms, 1kHz, 1ch driven THD 0.9%)

  • Just bought one. Got the 5% done and some old gc's left

    • Hey mate I used gift cards as well but today I received an email from them saying it has been delayed until January 10. Did you receive one as well? I was wondering if I elected to cancel how would they refund the gift card balance in this situation?

      • yep i did get that too today, disappointing as I really wanted before x'mas. but i do want it anyway so i might wait it out.

        • Amazon.de is selling this model again for $496 EUR delivered which equates to $781 Australian dollars (https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B01N7PFFHK/ref=ox_sc_act_ti...) so $200 cheaper but you sacrifice a three year local warranty. The deal ends in 12 hours. Like last time, it says that "it doesn't ship to Australia" but once you put it in your basket and checkout it goes through fine. Says it will arrive before Xmas as well and that's coming all the way from Germany and yet JB can't even deliver till the 10th of Jan within Australia! I would've cancelled my JB order and pulled the trigger on the Amazon had I not used my gift card and thrown them out after I used it as apparently the refund goes back onto the original gift card. Hopefully JB don't delay it again as I would like the peace of mind in having a three year local warranty.

        • @merajaan: yea similar, my mate actually got me the JB cards in th end at 7% off so in end was something 860. hopefully we dont get another delay. it would be a bummer if i have to hold on to the gc's again without anything to buy..

        • @merajaan: hey I contacted my local store to check stock and somehow managed to transfer it to the store to pick it up. Might be worth a try

  • Sold out? Page shows unavailable :(
