What a shitty console generation it has been.
It's the covid phenomenon, for some reason we ignore the 2-3 years of covid like we skipped it or something… i've noticed it talking with others where they mention something being only a few years old and it came out in like 2020 lol … even i've done it.
But yeh easily the worst console gen ever… not that PC gaming has faired any better either although there have been some amazing games the hardware side has been horrible.

@bashar20: Mainly mean GPU market, horrible pricing , lackluster progression etc … Intel CPU issues, next to no progression which is needed to keep AMD from becoming next Intel.. aside from the PC GPU scene, game publishers over commitment during covid now culling head counts, cancelling games, closing studios left and right.

Lack of competition from Nintendo and Xbox, plus several years of extreme inflation will tend to do that. Plus back in Dec 2017 AUDUSD was trading at 77c versus 65c now.
What do you mean lack of competition from Nintendo? They have their target segment and it's super profitable for them. Switch has 15M more sales than PS5.
